Will do. I know I've got enough quick sealant left to do the whole truck again
-
I 'soak' them by dipping thin MF towels in the wash solution and place them over the bugs for 5-10 minutes. This works great for love bugs. You can use your Adam's towels for this, but they get so heavy when wet that they don't work on vertical panels well. http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/18701-removing-bugs-soaking-method/?hl=bugs
Thanks ill give that a shot also. The worst is the front bumper cover on my truck so it should be fun getting it to look right again

Ok thanks man. I'm gonna have to see if I can still find my clay bar. I bought one a couple years ago hope it's still good. I know I left it sealed and in the container haha

Bugs and black paint, heck any paint, don't go together haha. I've done some research and what seems to be most popular is soaking them with waterless wash before actually washing. I've also seen where claying can help even using APC. Any other advice? I'll be doing a full detail soon for a show from a good hand polish all the way to americana.

Don't add too much or it will make it runny.
How much is too much? Lol
-
I don't think it adds more foam, I believe it's purpose is to allow the foam to cling better to the paint and to help clean a bit too. Could be wrong though
Gochya. Its finally a nice day here in texas and I seriously need to wash the truck up. I have the small travelers bottle of WW so I guess ill throw that in the gun and see what happens.

I read somewhere (I think on an instagram post but cant find it now) that it can be added to make more foam. If so how much should be added? My foam gun works good but the foam doesn't hold up on my truck well. By the time im done soaking the truck most of it has disappeared.

Adams glass cleaner and glass towels.
That's what I've been using. Maybe a little extra elbow grease is what's needed.

i ran out of APC and did an engine detail today so i ran to oreillys and looked around and black magic has a 2 in 1 degreaser and shine for engines...so i gave it a try...started off good everything looked great all the hoses were a nice shiny black but after i rinsed everything it was a nasty white color....so much for the shine it promised and the smell was god awful! its still lingering in the cab when i turn the a/c on....it found its way to the trash can very quickly.
im gonna hit everything with VRT+water tomorrow to make it presentable.....please bring back something equivelent to the in and out spray:help:

nice lightning dude!

that pretty much answers that lol...thanks guys

i will be claying mine for the first time either tomorrow or wednesday...im out of DS so im gonna use water and a teaspoon of the adams car wash as a lube. ive been kinda hesitant to clay cuz i am friends with alot of the guys at the local body shop and they've all been telling me some clays will actually cause more swirls and scratches. i know they make different grades of clay they have a red which is a coarse and their blue is fine grade....i know the adams clay is blue so im gonna assume it is a fine....i know adam wouldnt sell anything that would cause more harm to a vehicles finish than help it..i just need to quit worring so much and do it cuz i did the bag test the last time i washed and my hood felt like it had invisible acne lol.
good luck to you on your detail!

mines filthy from workin on stuff and hopping in and driving off without washing my hands....what would be best to clean it up and get that dried up gunk and dirt off of it? its a factory leather wrapped wheel.
-
so say you have a daily driver that you cant garage(like me for instance lol) and you need to clay it but its filthy....dirt and water spots mainly from the last rain we had...wash,clay,wash again?
Any other helpful tips on bug guts?

Soaked all the bugs on front bumper cover with waterless wash before the actual wash. Seemed to help a bit but some were stubborn. Took my clay bar to them and it helped even more but what remains is either really tough to remove and require more elbow grease or they've etched into my paint. Gonna give it another go later on in the week!
