First off. I want to say thanks to the Adam's team for putting on a contest like this. What better way to have a product reviewed than to put it in the hands of car fanatics. What an awesome company...
On to the review....
Here's the guinea pig, a 2012 Hyundai Sonata SE that we purchased new last year in the beginning of summer. We have a 3 yr little boy that can destroy the inside of a vehicle in about 1.43445 seconds. With that said, I try to keep the car as clean as possible. That can be a job in itself.
I love me some Super VRT!
Swirl free baby
Now, on to the interior. Let me be the first to say. that when it comes to interior detailers and cleaners....I CAN"T STAND THEM! I absolutely despise the "Armor All" look of grease and the dust attractiveness of the product. I don't want to step foot in a vehicle and bust my arse because how slick everything is. Adam's TID (Total Interior Detailer) is the complete opposite. This stuff is absolutely awesome. Remember the 3 yr old I spoke of earlier? Well, I do clean the car and thought that I did a pretty good job of dressing the interior with a product I used to use from Meguiars.... we won't go there people, but boy was I wrong. After dressing the interior with Adam's TID, I noticed a very nice matte sheen that did not have the greasy feel and kick that Meg's products butt!
I started with the passenger side with my already clean, or so I thought, dash. Here's a 50/50:
Passenger side seat with leather trim dressed and not dressed:
Look at that center console!
I did a little test on my own. You can see from the picture that my son steps on the sill to get into the car. I usually would use APC before but I wanted to see the cleaning ability of TID:
50/50
Passenger door before and after. Hard to tell from the picture but the after is SOOOO much better.
Driver's side rear 50/50
Look at the Matte finish..
SMELL: Smell isn't like any other cleaner I have used. To me, it smells like a bar of soap. So the freshness smell is there out of the bottle, but it's not something that will give you a headache while your driving down the road. In fact, hours after I detailed the interior, I didn't notice it anymore. I'm sure that's the odor de-odorizer in the product! Works for me, because I hate any kind of smelly air freshners... They give me migraine-style headaches!
Ease of use The product is very easy to work with. I applied it in direct sunlight and I didn't notice a difference of application. I did use the edgeless towel, and follow up with a microfiber towel...Just as the directions suggested!
Final Thoughts - As soon as the gallon refill becomes available, I'm going to purchase it. For years now, I have been searching and searching for a product that protects, cleans, and gives me a matte FACTORY finish without the greasiness feeling. Adam's has done just that! If your looking for the same results, then look no further because the product is the shiznit!
P.S Anyone got any Adam's decals they wanna part with? let me know!
