I live in a fairly depressed area, in fact the poorest county in Pennsylvania is just 8 miles down the road. Having their car detailed is not a high priority here (except for me). If I were to get into the detailing business I would set realistic prices for my services that would correspond to the area. However, I would not give my services away either. I would focus more on the quality of my work and customer service then simply just offering a low rate to attract customers.
