New white wheels..what products to use.

Retired_CPO

Question

I am getting new white wheels and I was wondering what products I should use in order to keep them clean.  I understand that I will be washing them more frequently, which is okay.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

If you seal them (QS or LPS) they will stay cleaner longer.  Since you probably will be washing them more often, Car Wash Shampoo should work fine.  I keep some pre-mixed in a bottle with a foaming sprayer and that works great for me (no rear discs on my cars)..

If they are painted and clearcoated, treat them as you would your car's finish. If you are running low-dust pads (ceramic, for example) then 9 times out of 10 simple car shampoo and water will be enough to clean them. Then follow up with sealant like Michael suggested. I would opt for QS though, since that wheel design is pretty intricate, and trying to get an even coat with LPS would time consuming.
