  1. Really all depends on when the last time was you waxed it. If it's been more than two months and several wash jobs I wouldn't worry about it, most all the wax is gone. The clay will remove wax, however if there's too much wax it will make the clay less effective. The process of polishing will remove wax too, but can clog the pores up on the polishing pad making it less effective.

Gotcha, I'm holding off on the Vette for now anyways, it has minor swirls in the paint & there very hard to see because of my color! What rele needs attention is my 97' Subaru... Its black and never had a detail in its life... Needs a lot of TLC, I'll take before \ after pics because this one will be very drastic of a difference!!!
  2. If the wheels are bad, especially the barrels, I can go through that much GWC. as far as the APC, that's about right. I started buying by the gallon. Really reduces cost per ounce.

the APC was used for the tires (fender brush used) and wheel wells (used medium size wheel woolies) and the green wheel cleaner was used for barrels (turbo stick), lug brush for lugs/wheels, and green wheel for rims \ used boar hair brush!
  3. Had some time after work today so I decided to clean my wheels, tires, barrels, and perform a two bucket wash, this way I could put the car back in the garage so I can clay bar & start using the flex! (Sometime in the next few days that is)... Long story short I did the washing of the wheels exactly the same as Adam did in the volume 8 vid & boy did they turn out sweet... Only problem was somehow I went thru a 16oz bottle of green wheel cleaner, and 3\4 of the APC, anyone else in the same boat or em I just going over kill? HELP lol

  4. Hey Eric, I woke this morning and wondered if you'd joined the forum, welcome dude. I'm Dave your coach. Awesome job you did on the hood and as your working on the rest of the car and have any questions at all don't hesitate to give me a shout out on my cell (717) 475-5457, you now own alot of product and tools and it could get a bit overwhelming. Tell Jessica hi.

Oh, and I did get ahold of Fred and his neighbor John to correct my mistake on the charge, or lack there of, of their Cyclo Kit; thanks for the help. Later and keep in touch...

Glad you worked that situation out, whew! Your right on a lot of product, started organizing everything last night in my garage & jeez I almost didn't know where to start LOL Its getting there tho, definitely ordering the detail cart today as I think it would rele come in handy... Appreciate the good comments & all the hands on help you've given me over the weekend... Gives me tons of confidence to head in the right direction w/ all this!!! If I run into any snags or have any questions I'll give ya a buzz for sure, You da man!
  5. Diluted SVRT. Mix it 50/50 with water in a spray bottle. Gives you a spray application for applying to the tires. Just spray it on, spread with the tire applicator, and wipe off the excess with a towel (I have some el-chepo MF's I bought at an auto parts store that I use for applications like this (they get washed with the utility towels and such)). The biggest thing to any SVRT application is to make sure that the surface is clean or the stuff doesn't last. I did a buddy's car yesterday and had to scrub the tires twice to get whatever dressing was on there before off and another pass to get them clean.

Sweet! Def gana try this out (:
  6. It really depends on what I'm doing. Everything gets cleaned after each use. If I'm doing a full detail then I have a spare five gallon bucket that I dump 3 oz of APC into and 3/4 full of water. As I finish using items they'll go into the bucket until I get done. I usually try to make sure the water gets agitated once every 30 min or so. At the end everything gets cleaned as recommended by Adam's. I spot treat the MF with APC and agitate with my fingernail then usually mist the whole thing. After I've done that to all of them they go into the washer with 3 oz of MF Revitalizer. I have a new Samsung HE washer/dryer so they go in on the delicate cycle (low spin) with warm water wash and an extra rinse. Everything goes together except my single and double softs...they are washed by themselves. Everything is tumble dried on low heat which usually takes about one hour. I hand wash all the pads and applicators with Dawn except the ones I use for QS. My QS apps are soaked in the sink with 2 oz APC for a few hours or overnight (depending on when they go in). Everything gets thoroughly rinsed after. Adam's doesn't recommend it but I have a rack that goes inside my dryer for drying shoes so I'll put the in with all the pads applicator side up and run the dryer on low heat to dry them.

Have you made yourself any SVRT milk yet? It makes applying it to your tires worlds easier.

Lotta great info here! Thanks for the advice... I haven't tried to make any VRT milk, what's that?
