  1. How many of you "jewel" your paint? I have read on the net where some people jewel their paint. So this would add 1 more step towards the paint correction process correct? What exaclty is involved and is it worth the effort and time put in to see better results? Thanks C
  2. I here you, but I haven't received all my supplies yet.....just got the PC yesterday and expect my pads on Friday then I will be able to begin the process and pics will follow.
  3. Will do, my paint isn't to bad, it was a 1 owner car from Cali. Thanks for the heads up and will definitely watch the videos for sure.
  4. Okay, thanks for the advise. PC won't be here for another week.....can't wait
  5. I'm a first timer to machine polishing and I am going to learn on my G8, I'm a little nervous to begin with but I have read in other forums that the paint on the G8's is soft. Is this true and are there any areas I should be careful or concerned with? My car is black and I have a porter cable 7424XP on the way.
  6. Hi all, I am new to Adams forums but not new to detailing. I got hooked when I got my first car many years ago and have had OCD detailing cars ever since. Within the last couple of years I have started to detail cars as a side job on the weekends and have stayed very busy doing so. I have always polished/waxed my cars by hand (thats all it took) but I just recently invested in a Porter Cable 7424XP ploisher because some of my customers cars need a little more attention. I currently own a 2008 Pontiac G8 Black (bought it used 1 owner car from Cali), a 2006 Volvo XC90 Silver (also a one owner car from Cali) and a 2002 Chevrolet SS Camaro Sunset Orange Metallic (orig owner) I plan on practicing machine polishing on my G8, I been lurking on here for a little while now and feel like I have learned alot from your post (you are all very knowledgeable) but I sure questions will arise. Craig
