  1. I have some left over Zaino Z2 Pro sealant I'd like to use up on my of my vehicles, as I understand it I can put the Americana over top of that Z2 coat(s.) Is this correct or do I have it backwards?
  2. Thanks Chris, that's what I wanted to know if that product would work. I assume I want to follow Adam's suggestion of the least aggressive compound and pad?
  3. I have an older Porter Cable, I'd rather not buy another machine.
  4. As requested here's a few photos. Sorry for the crappy up close photos but you can see what I'm talking about if you blow up each photo.
  5. No, neither one does (catch a fingernail)....As I said, they're very slight.
  6. Guys I have two very long stractches (16") on my hood that are very slight. You only notice when you're standing over in in bright sunlight. I have not tried any "paint correction" to this point but would like to get rid of them so how is the question. Sure, taking it to a body shop is probably the best thing to do but these aren't bad and would likely cost me at least $500. Would the Adams Correcting system be a good place to start? Is my only choice 'wet-sanding' the scratch area or should I take it to a profesional detailer?
  7. Yeah, I did see the video where using a soap mixture in brush works. Looks like both 303 and Raggtopp are online only, I was mind of hoping to do this tomorrow but I may just have to settle for giving a good cleaning for now.
  8. I recently bought a used convertible with a top in excellent, like new shape but there are a couple of water type stains on it. Never having a convertible before I've been reading up on my options, Raggtop seems to be the only player out there but it's pricey and I've read mixed reviews; are there other options? Does Adams have anything that would work better?
  9. My vehicle's lug-nuts as very faint surface rust on several nuts, I know CLR will work for this but is there a safer product to apply while these are still on the wheel? I know I could buy replacement nuts but would like to clean and protect what I have. Ideas?
  10. Thanks Michael, that's what I needed to know. I thought I knew the in's and out's of car-care with personal experiance but after reading on this fourm for a while I know that was incorrect.
  11. A couple of years ago I got the cargo area of my SUV wet, even though I dried it well with my wet-dry vac I still had a bit of mildew set in. Since then I've always had a musty smell inside, no matter what product I use I can't get rid of it. I've read on here that a steam cleaner can be used to blast ouyt stubborn stains, can this be used with some chemical to clean this out?
  12. Good deal, that's what I gathered from the videos but I didn't see Adam or Dylan specifically mention the sealants when talking about glazing/waxing. Are there any special cure times required in a multi-step process like that, (i.e 24-hours?)
  13. Ok so the Quick Sealant can be used as a 'base' for the glaze and/or Americana? What's the advantages of the machine sealant over the quick sealant, do both last as long? I would imagine there's a trade-off somewhere?
  14. Just signed up here, I'm not an Adams customer yet it I'm planning on being very soon. Coming from other car-care products, I've heard of Adams from word of mouth so I'm looking to change up my experience. Currently, I have two vehicles in my families' stable; both daily drivers. Looking to add a fun car in the not to distant future but for now I'm looking for solutions to everyday drivers with a focus on protection. I've used a competitor's product for years, (starts with a Z) but while the shine was good, the number of steps to get there and lack of long-term protection left me wanting. So far I plan on picking up Adams' paint-restoration system to resolve minor swirl-marks and scratches from everyday wear and tear. What I need some help on, is deciding between your sealants, glazes and waxes. I'm pretty sure I want to use either your machine sealant or quick sealant to lock in protection, the vehicles don't get washed very often (run through the car-wash monthly,) so protecting the paint and clear-coat is essential. I do like shine of course and am concerned the sealant may not be shiny enough for my tastes so my question is, can I apply glaze and/or the Carnuba wax over the sealant? Can I have my cake and eat it too?
