I had this problem about a year ago. I called my helpful Adam's moderator (Thanks Bill) and he really helped me out. SHR with an orange pad followed by BSG. They looked amazing when I was done. Now my windows are really easy to maintain.

Hi Everett, and thanks for the great photo! I love it when an issue is raised, including a nice clear photo of the finish in question. (Looks like a Dodge truck wheel well, am I correct?)

So, different plastics hold the Invisible Undercarriage Spray in different ways. This is easily fixed, and a quick swipe with a tire sponge, or detail sponge and a little VRT will make the finish even and perfect.

Let us know how that works out, and an, "after" photo would be fantastic!

My 11 year old son does my wheel wells. He loves doing them. He uses the old blue tire sponge like Adam mention. He sprays the tire sponge and then rubs it on. It's pretty funny becuase he lays on top of my 33" MT tires and all you see is his feet sticking out. He does a great job and now he is negotiating for a pay raise.

Your second picture looks awesome BTW.

How did you make the signature that long? What size canvas do you use. That's the size I'm looking for but can never get it looking like that. Let me know if you can thanks.

The PX at my FOB was the size of a 2 car garage and that place was a mortar round magnet. We received rocket and mortar attacks nightly and they would hit the PX at least once a week.

I went to the Green Zone once. We had to escort a reporter around for a few days so we had to pick him up. I couldn't believe my eyes when we got there. Burger King, Taco Bell, KFC, Coffee Shops and the list goes on. The PX had big screen TV's, BBQ grills and a ton of other luxury items. The sign on the door said "1066 people in the PX at once." They had it hard!

My doctor told me that the cadaver ACL is the way to go. It would give me a quicker recovery than if I used part of my hamstring. When my left ACL was replaced they used part of my patella tendon. He told me I was to old for that procedure. Good luck with your surgery and even though physical therapy hurts, it is well worth it in the long run.

Here is my buddies unit. There are about 110 people in his company. Let me know what your thinking and I'll contact him. Or if you want, I can send you his email address. The adoption process is that you send packages to those guys through there tour. We had parents, friends, schools and churches adopt my platoon while we were there. We always had plenty of stuff. Let me know.

Here is what I enjoyed getting while I was deployed:

Q-Tips - for ears and cleaning weapons

Tooth brushes - Great for cleaning weapons as well as brushing your teeth

Zip-Loc bags

Baby wipes - When you can't get to a shower. These make you fell like a million dollars.

Powder drink packets - Crystal Light etc...

Gum

Beef jerky

Phone cards - AT&T is a rip off over there so you can never have to many

Shaving cream and razors

Gummy bears Swedish fish

Letters/drawings from the schools kids that adopted my platoon.

I have some friends that are deployed so if anyone is looking for a unit to "adopt" I can send you some information. I hope this helps you out.

I've been out of the loop for a little while but I'm back. I've had a lot of stuff going on. My upcoming move to Fort Bliss Texas is not going to happen. The army is sending to me a medical board next month to see if I'm still fit for duty. I guess after 6 knee surgeries, 4 screws, a cadaver ACL and a reconstructed right shoulder the army is going to look at my ability to stay in the infantry. I'm sure that they will retain me in the army but at what level I don't know.

I hope everyone is doing well and I have some catching up to do in the forums. Take care!

Winter is coming shortly (didn't you see the snow pics on the forum from the other day). We need them so we can get a final detail in before the snow and salt come.

I'm hoping that I can dodge the snow. We are leaving Rhode Island on the 4th of January. I don't us getting snow in Texas.

We loved Colorado. We were stationed there for 2 years. Well I should say that my family was there for 2 years. I split my time between there and Iraq. When I came back from Iraq we took a trip to Buena Vista Colorado for a week and we had a blast. Here are some pictures:

My name is Rob and I'm a junkie.........

We live in an apartment complex and my neighbor has a Jeep Cherokee that is about 8 years old. Everything I walk by the Jeep I always noticed the yellow headlights and the black trim that is need of some VRT. My wife always tells me to stop staring at it. I would love to correct those issues but it would kill me even more if he doesn't keep up with it.

The Raptor is an awesome looking truck. My kids are getting to big and I need a 4 door truck. Does anyone know if they are making a 4 door version?

Don't beat yourself up. Like the folks said in ther earlier posts, breath and take a step back. One piece of advice that I wish I had when I was dating my wife before we were married. Communication! Don't try to be macho and keep everything bottled up inside. It will only add more stress to yourself. It's alright for men to express there feelings and emotions. My wife and I starting dating in 1993, broke up in 1994 (I was a macho jerk), got back together in 1995 and we were married in 1996. The one thing that I learned is that I had to communicate with her. September 21st is going to be out 13th wedding anniversary. We look back at our time apart and we are kind of thankful becuase that made us realize what we had while we were together. Remember things may not be great right now but take it in stride and it will all work out.

How old is the vehicle you worked on? If it's an older car and has never been clayed before then it will take you some time. I remember when I first did my truck. I was exhausted when I was done. My arms felt like they were going to fall off. The good news it that when you finally get it nice and smooth it will become a whole lot easier the next time.

I used the brushed on Dupli-Color caliper paint. I had to clean the calipers with brake cleaner before I painted them.

I would be worried about those things coming loose while driving. Especially on the highway. I think that $200 is a little steep for covers. I painted my claipers about 2 years ago and it only cost me $25 and about 4 hours of my afternoon. Speaking of which, I need to touch them up before the winter.

Not to bad for $25!

Wicked cool! I take it that "Bert" is short for Fat Albert? I always like seeing something that big do a short runway take off with those rocket booster! Imagine them on a car!

Love the air to air views of that team. Of course, being a Marine makes me partial...

I'm partial to the C-130. Out of my 60 jumps, at least 40 of them are out of a C-130. Fat Albert is an awesome aircraft but not as good as "Spooky". While in combat it's always good to know that they are around. Thanks for your service and welcome to the forum.
