  1. I appreciate the insights, guys. I think I may have been describing the finish incorrectly though. It's not ultra flat from the factory, it does have a sheen to it, just not a high gloss like the top half. At any rate, the light polishing and sealant didn't do it any harm. In fact, it looks much better. I do think it should NOT be clayed, though.
  2. Thanks for the responses. I skipped claying the lower half. Did a very light pass with Revive because the titanium has a tendency to blush here and there so the light polish evened it out nicely. Sealed it with Liquid Paint Sealant because the titanium is also pretty fragile. Very happy with the results. Thanks! The car is 100% factory original paint (and everything else for that matter.) I was under the impression it was a two-stage. I used Revive and the blue hex applicator and there was no white color transfer. When I did lightly polish the lower half the face of the applicator turned gray. I always thought with a single stage there would be color transfer to some degree?
  3. I have a 1987 Mustang that has a factory two-tone paint scheme. The upper half of the car is white clearcoat and the lower half of the car is a single stage matt silver/gray finish Ford called "Titanium." I clayed the entire top half of the car (including windows) and it went perfect and easy. Decided to try a spot on the lower half and within a few strokes of the clay it turns gray like the color of the paint. Is that normal and should I continue? Should I leave it alone? I am going to use Quick Sealant on the lower half and figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to remove any surface contaminants? Here's the car for reference:
  4. The Luxor does, in fact, look identical in every way to the recently discontinued Adam's cart. I found them for sale at a restaurant supply here: http://www.webstaurantstore.com/black-luxor-stc111-3-tub-utility-cart-18-x-24-x-38-1-2/445STC111BK.html They are offered in a variety of tub and leg colors including the classic Adam's black and red.
  5. After car wash, I rinse and wring out my pad thoroughly then toss it in the dryer for an hour. Hasn't hurt the pad in any way. Then I store it in an Adam's wash bucket on top of the grit guard with the lid slightly cracked so there is some ventilation to prevent mold if there should be any moisture remaining in the pad. I have nothing against hang drying but I worry that if my pad is hanging in my garage that it could pick up dust and junk between washes.
  6. Thanks for all the good words, everyone. I really can't wait to put all this to use. As for the addiction, that has already set in! I already want to order MORE, MORE, MORE!
  7. Just received all this goodness on Friday! Will be putting it to use on my mint condition 1987 Mustang GT in the next couple of weeks. The car does not need a full correction at this time so my first go-around will be by hand. Can't wait!
  8. My name is Dennis, I'm 34 years old and born & raised in sunny Southern California. This year I have been obsessively researching proper vehicle care since purchasing a low-miles, near-mint condition 1987 Mustang GT in February. The car has led a pampered life and it is my goal to continue to maintain it's near-perfect condition. After much research, I could not believe all of the bad habits that I had picked up over the years, doing more harm than what I thought was good for my cars. What has me wanting to use Adam's products, besides the products themselves, is the very professional and passionate way they conduct their business and their support of the USA. I also greatly appreciate all of Adam's instructional videos, the best I have found. I look forward to reading and learning from the knowledgeable folks on this forum and I'm especially looking forward to placing my first Adam's order in the near future. Here's a few picture of my pride and joy, a 1987 Mustang GT in very rare Oxford White and Titanium two-tone with blue accent stripe. I have wanted this exact car since I was 16 and it truly is my needle in a haystack! Since acquiring it I have done some basic, tasteful modifications that include suspension, brakes, wheels and exhaust. Aside from the modifications, the car is all 100% factory original!
