Just curious if anyone uses a california duster? I use one every few days but not sure if its bad for the paint or not? Any input would be helpful
Thanks!

Let me help your time estimations out just a tad. It will probably take you 10-12 hours over a couple of days to do your car. Tackle the car in sections. Get one panel completely correct before moving to the next, and then you can do the waxing all at one time. This is going to take time and work on a car the size of yours so don't think that you can knock it out in one day. It took me 3 days just to clay my entire car and it's much smaller than yours. Mind you I'm a slow worker but I am also very thorough.
Working in the shade is going to help your experience be a lot more pleasurable, as well as get you better results with the products (less flaking and product splatter). Get a cooler full of bottled water and a fan to keep you cool. I always enjoy the time I spend rubbing on my car so the time is of no essence for me.
Good luck and post some pictures when you are done!
Sounds good, nice suggestion...So if I say did my front of my car, hood, fenders, and front bumper, after I'm done with the machine polish would I put a quick coat of wax on it or would it be ok to wait a few days until I finish my whole car If I daily drive my car?

Well I just got done watching the Adams detailing dvd and it looks like I have found a solution to my fine scratches all over my GTO. I'm already addicted to Adams products but it looks like I'm going to be ordering the gen 2 maching polishing kit and the Americana Wax to put on top of the MSW...it looks like its going to take me 10-12 hours to do my car which in the az heat in my garage should be fun!
so adam you have another order coming your way this week...

Well Donny, all I can say is THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Your loyalty speaks volumes, and I appreciate your business.
When using paste, do several, extremely thin coats for best results. No need to put on extra, as that can just clog your mf towel when removing the residue. The same amount of wax will remain on the finish, regardless.
Again, thanks, very much, for your loyalty Donny, and have a great evening:2thumbs:
Thanks adam!

Wow Donny, you should hopefully use much, much less of our Americana Paste! I've got a tub that has waxed a dozen cars, and it doesn't seem to have gone down at all yet.
What applicator pad are you using with the Topi-care wax? A fine foam app will spread a thinner layer, and absorb less than a MF app, typically.
Is the Tropi-care wax soft?
Thanks!
Maybe It was just because I was just getting into detailing last summer when I bought my GTO but I was using Lake Country's Red 4" Round applicator pad, It seems like its pretty hard stuff, but I think I was kinda just gobbing it on the applicator bc I wasn't familiar with using Paste wax, I don't know...Its been sitting on my shelf for nearly 8 months now...I used up all my Tropi-care stuff and have now re-upped with all of your stuff...(very impressed with the results of adams btw)
But I am going to be ordering some of this stuff by weeks end to give it a try, even though I just got another shipment yesterday of more stuff!
-
What size tub is this in? My tropi-care one was 6oz and I've done maybe 3-4 applications and its about 1/2 gone...so definitely not 30-40 cars off theirs..
-
Dang that sucks...He's the one that got me into Adams Polishes stuff...
-
Do we know the carnauba % in this paste wax? Just trying to compare it to the Tropi-care paste wax I've used in the past, which from what their site says is 45% carnauba...
Either way I'm buying some...I'm Highly impressed by my adams stuff already...
-
I know it was probably already said in this thread but what's the advantages of this paste wax over the buttery wax? I love using the buttery wax on my gto and love the shine it leaves on my car..
-
Buttery Wax is easy to put on and take of but if you want a fine shine leave it on thier for a few more minutes and due this twice
I'm gonna put an additional 2 coats of buttery wax on my car in 2 weeks once I have a garage finally...
-
All done! Came out awesome...The Revive polish wasn't enough to get some clear coat scratches out on my bumper but i'm sure with a PC and Machine polish it'll do the trick...Overall Real happy with the results so far...
-
LOL...yes that is the mystery peanut buttery paste wax...
Tomorrow is the day...Wash it, clay it, wash again, then revive, wipe off, then buttery wax -2 coats...gonna be busy!

These Deals of the Day are Getting to me...Already made 3 orders in the past Week and a half...I think I have a good start on a good detail day next tuesday!

Think its Time to Do a detail Job on our boat...
Baja Outlaw 33 with Twin Bulldog 540's...We have a high speed buffer which it sounds like would work better than a normal orbital buffer, and the machine superwax sounds like it'd be the perfect wax for it...
