  1. If you had a 1200s/f shop complete with a lift and heated floors for nothing but your toys I suspect you'd put up with a little gravel too. So far any wax or sealant type products I've tried have left the plastic with the typical white haze, I suspect because the plastic has some texture or roughness to it. It's odd, Tire shine doesn't pick up dust when it's on the tires, yet when i tried it on the black trim it sucks up dust. It does look very good though, until it gets dusty.
  2. Dodge Challenger, has a black plastic rocker panels covers, rear valance and front spoiler. Unfortunately I have about 600ft of gravel to travel before I get to the highway, not good this time of year no matter how slow you roll. Need suggestions for something that will make them black, but not suck up road dust like Granny's dust mop. Tire shine actually worked about as well as anything so far.
  3. This is simply the typical peel you see to one extent or the other on nearly every car on the road these days, which disgusts me to no end. I come from the single stage laquer days when orange peel meant you had mucked up your paint job. And those days were about the last time I did much messing with paint. I know full well HOW to get rid of it, sand, buff, or polish enough and it WILL come off. I guess what I was looking for was advice on if I should try to get rid of it, and if I'm going to have any clearcoat left after I do?? How thick are the OEM clear coats?? Thanks Tom
  4. Hello, How much orange peel is too much to try to take out?? I just bought a '12 Dodge Challenger, gun metal gray with HUGE amounts of orange peel. You can actually feel the dimples in the finish. To make it worse, the clear coat seems to be rock hard. There's very few scratches or swirl marks in the whole car, so it doesn't need alot of correction that way but I'd like to knock down some of the peel. I went after it with the correcting polish and orange microfibers, got a start on it but it's gonna take forever. Is it possible or even advisable to try to get as much of the peel out as possible??
