  1. I appreciate all the replies! Yea my paint is by no means "bad" mostly because it was mostly just painted. The only areas are around the car are these holograms and some light scratches behind the door handles and on the trunk. My main focus is the holograms though as they really take depth away from the paint. I have however think I'll need to buff the car twice. Once soon to get all the holograms out and then wax it as usually. Then once at the end of the season when I can seal it after I polish it but maybe I'll just be able to use the finishing polish this time instead of doing both steps. My car as of now as no swirls as the body shop did a good job with that at least, but the holograms left behind is an eye sore. Maybe I'll try to do a panel or two with the finishing polish perhaps instead of doing both stages? I don't think my budget will allow for the flex or cyclo, I'll probably end up with the Meguires da, porter cable or the griot garage since they are under the $200 mark!
  2. Awesome, I wasn't sure if those lines would be something that a simple correction would take care of it simply or something stronger. I'm hoping I can knock them all out easily, because I want zero marks because a black car in sun light should be perfect especially when I go to car shows with it. Thanks!
  3. I thought I attatched pictures, but didn't attached I'll try again! It's rather hard to capture, they only show in the perfect sunlight direction and the car is dusty from sitting in the garage at the moment. I'm assuming since its fresh paint I would be okay with foam pads and no need for the microfiber pads. Since the paint is fresh though, I can't really use much to sea after the polish, besides my body shop safe wax?
  4. So I had some of my car repainted due to previous owner neglect of the black paint. I had the side of the car painted, hood and front bumper. While the body shop had the car I had them buff the entire car so it would take out some imperfections. Granted they are not a "detail" shop I figured it would still come out alright. The car looks a lot better but when I park it in the direct sunlight there are these marks that look like straight lines that go up and down the car, I brought it back and they rebuffed it and while its better I am still seeing some marks. I was going to pay to bring it to a dedicated detail shop, but I am over paying people to get subpar results and want to try it myself. I am thinking all I need is a good buffer and the adams polish/correcting kit, but I am wondering if that is going to take out the marks I want or if its caused by something other then a bad buff job?
