  2. Can u guys recommend a good pressure washer that is safe on cars. What should I be looking for?
  3. Can I put a sealant and then apply wax over my 1le hood which is covered in 3m vinyl?
  4. thanks guys. its def. not light. I think these may be like 20 years old.. lol.. I think sanding is the way to go..but im going to try some correcting polish first... just incase.. thanks,
  5. thanks for the info.. would like to hear from adams themselves about the counter weight. I was thinking of going with the 4 inch backing plate with the 4 inch pads..
  6. should i get the 4 inch backing plate for the PC or get the 4 inch attachment for the cordless... i have the PC 6inch pads but can't get some small spots on a car with it. so was thinking i should order the 4 inch backing plate and pads and just switch out. but saw the one for the cordless drill as well. whats better.. i know time saver would be switching the plates out..but thats like 2 min job.. so would like some input from ur experience.. whats better...thanks everyone.
  7. hey guys and gals.. so this car has some bad oxidation and yellowing of the headlights. was wondering what product i could use from adams to clean it up. i have heard toothpaste, bug spray, viniger....etc...but what adams product can help to clean this up... i was told use a compound.. that would help.. other wise i know some sand paper would do it.. i have the DA polisher from them was hoping i can somehow use that with some compound and the new microfiber pads... any suggestions would be helpful. thanks again.
  8. Yep clay every 3 months. And seal. Then apply h20 with washes and I redo buttery wax and glaze.
  9. Yes with detail spray. I guess I wud use the h20 in between then.like the next time I wash. Use h20 then glaze and re wax?
  10. So going to list my steps. Please chime in. Using all Adams products. 1 wash with shampoo 2 clay 3 quick rinse with water 4 h2o guard and gloss 5 Sealant 6 glaze 7 wax.
  11. So im going to be doing my first official detail this weekend. Its an Audi S5. what can I expect or prepare for. Mobile detaling here.. im wash, clay,(not worrying about swirl removal) (is not paying for it)...so wash clay, then seal (apply then remove and wait 1 hr) while im waiting gonna touch up the inside.. once that's done. gonna do the glaze and then buttery wax on top.. sound like a plan?
  12. so I been watching some videos on youtube about adam products.. some back as 2011... im a little confused as to what products to use.. or maybe in not reading it or understanding it right.. but theres lather conditioner, interior detail spray.. cleaner...many many products... I thought the leather conditioner was only for leather seats... but in the video adam is applying it to the plastic as well on the inside.. is this correct> shouldn't the interior detailer or VRT be used(if you want shiny) ..just some insight as to what to use on the interior cleaning part...
  13. thanks for the quick responses. you guys and gals are always great at answering questions.
  14. when would you want to use machine to or the PC to apply wax or Brilliant Glaze.... I just got the PC and ordered some glaze and buttery wax.. should I use my red pad to apply it or just do it by hand?? oviously remove by hand...
  15. so most of the times... wash, clay, polish, seal, glaze, wax.. and wait time in between applying either steps. for someone who does detailing on the side would like to figure out the time of long it should take me.. or long I should wait in between..or does it even matter. since the coat is on there and we should be able to apply right over it.. its not like it needs to cure or something right?
  16. should I be applying wax then glaze or the brilliant glaze and then buttery wax.. the process is? wash clay polish to remove imperfections. 2 step. then seal wax or glaze..... on a full detail? I no some do no seal if its not a daily driver and is garage kept and just do wax only. if the car has no swirls is the 2step process needed? I would think not right? thanks,
  17. thank you for the quick supplies. for now I will move them in and out of the apartment just to be extra safe.
  18. Hey everyone, so I placed my order and received everything. thanks Adams. Know since my side business is mostly Mobile , I keep everything in the trunk of my car. NOw the weather getting a little colder should the products be moved inside to my apartment. I mean in NC it doesn't get below 40 that often.> is it safe to keep in trunk or should I be moving them inside once its gets a little colder. thanks for your input.
  19. Thank you for the quick response guys! Much appreciated.
  20. So with the 2 step polishing to remove swirl marks. Shud u do step 1 on the whole car first. Then do step 2. Or do step 1 in a 2x2 piece and then follow with step 2. And repeat on whole car doing piece by piece. So wondering if I can do all of car piece by piece. Then do step 2 after. Or shud it be done small squares at a time doing both steps....??
