Hello all! My name is Justin and I recently got the adams bug. So far I have no experience with machine assisted paint correction/ buffing and am here to gain some knowledge. I have bookmarked several posts, and found the "detailing tesla" post to be super informative. I have already aquired quite the arsenol of adams products, and am truely thankful for this forum and its vast amount of knowledge and expertise.
I grew up in a "corvette family" with my father owning a total of 9 throughout his life, and at one point my mom, brother, and father had corvettes at the same time. My mother joined the local corvette club and spent hours upon hours detailing her cars for upcoming shows. From a young age I learned the basics of detailing, and all the rewards that follow. My mother was a firm believer in using Zaino products, but I was looking for a line of products that offered support, and great results for my newly purchased truck. I found extactly what I was looking for when I found adams car care products. Each one of their products has a video to show how and why the product was used. For someone without a ton of confidence, that was very reassuring. I worked for a mobile detailing company for about a year, and we used some pretty crude techniques with less attention to detail than I would prefer for my new investment. I used a porter cable to apply liquid wax, however until recently I could not tell you what a swirl mark was lol I think I was using a PC 7424xpr to apply waxes, but was never trained to run a high speed polisher for paint correction. I am planning on purchasing a PX 7424xp with all the pads and the two different polishes from adams for my newly purchased truck with some very minor DISO. My intent is to also use a paint sealant since I don't have a garage, and the truck will live outside its whole life. Sorry for such a long first post, but I am here to learn and glad I found such a great company with such a great following and supportive members of their forums! Thanks again guys!
