The truck has been claybarred. Tomorrow I will start the polishing. What could I use to remove the brown from the once light grey seats? I didnt recieve any leather cleaner when I bought my complete kit. Instead I recieved two bottles of the undercarriage spray.
Background: 06 GMC QCSB used mostly on the farm going through fields, hualing seed, and pulling combine heads. To be completely honest, I bought my truck at the end of this february and its been washed as many times as his.
The truck went to the dealership tuesday to get the oil changed, and the dealership ran it(was completely brown at the time) through their car wash... making my job that much harder.
Here are some pictures of the truck before I washed it.
Better view of scratches after I washed/dried
The white mark below is from me. The **** stool slipped and decided to trade paint with the door. There is no dent, but any pointers to remove the paint would be helpful.
No idea on the first once since I did it in sections. I was borrowing while my truck was at groundforce. The second one took me 9 hours with my gf doing the interior.
I cleaned the interior and dressed it, same with the engine bay. I washed the outside, dryed, clayed, shr, fmp, smw, dressed with vrt, and cleaned the windows both inside and out.
Ive done 2 H2s and charged 200 for each. The volvo I posted pics of I charged 350 for just paint correction. Its finished and Ill get pics this weekend once I powerwash it since its all dusty already lol.
There is definatly plenty of money in detailing if people are willing to pay the money. I was going to do what frank said and go to dealerships but I started that fleet of volvos. Any idea on what I should charge for a volvo sleepercab? To be honest I bet each coat takes me an entire day.
I do the same thing. Ill find myself sitting as stoplights wondering if they would want their car detailed, or how cool before/after pics would look with certian cars.
GMFS is brutal, if you come out with an idea or mod other than what everyone does on their you get flamed, I can honestly say I dont miss it.
On a side note, what process did you use? I cant get any of those little scratches out of the paint on anything Ive done so far and its driving me insane.
