I second Beemers post. When I apply liquid paint sealant, I usually wait a week to use H20GG. Then H20GG about every 2 months.

Windshield Wipers
scottkalbfeld replied to scottkalbfeld's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Well seems like I'll go with the Bosch. Thanks a lot. Really appreciate it. -
Can anyone recommend the best windshield wipers. I have a 2013 Mercedes c300 with factory windshield wipers. I was looking around and the best rated ones are the rain-x latitude. I was nervous about buying these because I have the glass sealed and thought the rain-x layer that the wipers leave on the windshield might react weirdly with the sealant. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Cleaning method for weather tech floor liners?
scottkalbfeld replied to Zach5.9CTD's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I actually just cleaned them yesterday. I used the tire and rubber cleaner with the tire brush and some water. Came out perfect. Definitely would recommend using this method. I have never had my rubber floor mats so clean. The white salt stains came out instantly. -
H2O G&G for new vehicle
scottkalbfeld replied to fly4food84's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Another vote for Paint sealant about every 6 months. Or if you want to take the time and ceramic coat it, maintenance on that will be a breeze. Just apply the ceramic boost every other month or so. That would be the easiest in terms of maintenance. Just have to initially take the time . -
Put some H20 GG on the toilet seat. "Water" beads up and rolls right in. Nothing left on the seat. And I never have to be yelled at again. HAHAHA. Try it out. It actually works. Ladies, you're welcome.

Correct amount of H20 G&G?
scottkalbfeld replied to dancingdan42's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I used around 1/5 of the bottle, but I have a small Mercedes c300. Since you have a truck that sounds about right. -
Ceramic Boost vs H20 GG
scottkalbfeld replied to scottkalbfeld's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Right now I have LPS and H2O GG. I have Ceramic boost but don't know what the proper thing to do. Do I strip wash and apply only the ceramic boost? Can I put it over the H20 GG (which is about 2 months old and needs a recoating so there prob isn't a whole lot left on the paint). -
Given Up on Glass Cleaning Towels
scottkalbfeld replied to scottkalbfeld's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
First off I want to thank everyone for the responses. Happy to see there are many people willing to help. The inside is pretty clean and I never really clean it. There are no streaks or anything on the inside. Ususally just dust which i wipe off. I clean my glass towels just like all the other ones. Use adams MF soap. I even tried washing them alone with no other towels. I usually do 1 spray on the window. I thought about using another towel. When I only had 1 glass towel I thought the reason it was streaking was because I didn't have a 2nd to buff off. So I bought a 2nd for this exact purpose instead of a different type of towel. After all that is the purpose of a glass towel is to clean glass. But if I have to use a different towel on top of the glass towel what is even the purpose of the glass towel. I will try using another. I have plenty to choose from. -
Given Up on Glass Cleaning Towels
scottkalbfeld replied to scottkalbfeld's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Thanks for responding. I appreciate all the input. What I usually do is spray the glass cleaner on the windshield, then wipe with the glass towel. Then I flip it over and wipe with the shorter napped side. Than I take a clean dry glass towel and buff everything off. It looks ok but when I get in the car later and start driving I notice it. The glass was clayed about 2 months ago as well as sealed with the glass sealant. I've had the towels for a month or 2 so both have been washed a few times. -
Given Up on Glass Cleaning Towels
scottkalbfeld posted a question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I have totally given up on the glass cleaning towels. No matter what I do these towels leave streaks. I have 3. I've tried buffing off with a dry glass towel. Everything. Does anyone have any advice on how/ which towels would be better. Thank you. -
Towels for Waterless Washing
scottkalbfeld posted a question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
I wanted to get some opinions on the best towels to use for waterless washing. I bought the blue plush waffle weave towels because I thought it was better than the waterless wash towels. My thinking was that it still has the waffle weave but was softer and let there be more of a cushion to trap the dirt in the long pile. The WW towels just seem too harsh and tight (if that makes sense) and might cause scratches. Then I started doing more research and reading forums and realized a lot of people like plush edgeless towels. Maybe the blue plush waffle weaves are not plush enough to prevent light scratches along with the edge not being completely edgeless. This might have been covered previously, and I'm sorry if Im bringing up a topic that was already discussed. Let me know what you guys use. Its always good hearing how other people detail their car. -
That's exactly what I'm trying to figure out. It seems like no one really knows the answer. Wish someone from Adam's would explain this product in more depth.
-
Can the ceramic boost be topped off with detail spray? or does this completely eliminate the use for detail spray? I'm thinking the detail spray would take away the shine and water beading properties from the boost.
-
Also curious as to when in the routine to use this product if using without the ceramic coating. Is it better to use at the end on top of everything like a detail spray? or LPS then the ceramic boost then say wax or detail spray?

Ceramic Boost vs H20 GG
scottkalbfeld posted a question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I currently do not have the ceramic coating and was wondering how the ceramic boost compares to the H20 GG. I gave H20 on my car now and am thinking about buying the ceramic boost as a stand alone product. Im not to concerned about protection because I already have LPS on the car. Just looking for the best pop out of these 2 products. Thanks. -
Best Shine on A White Car
scottkalbfeld replied to scottkalbfeld's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
The more I read the more it makes me want to detail lol. Every time I come on the forum, I want to do a complete car detail. But I don't think its a good idea to do a complete detail every other day. hahaha. All jokes aside thanks for the input. Will definitely take all your advice. -
Since Undercarriage Spray is supposed to make the wheel wells very dark black, would it be possible to use this as a tire dressing? It might make the tires extra black even better than VRT and last longer. I know about the staining issue, so it would have to be applied carefully.
