  1. It's a day that I will never forget and I hope nobody else does.
  2. The hood is still not finished. The front edge of the hood looks pretty good because that's where I can apply the most pressure, but there are still spots elsewhere. I may have to give Power Gloss a shot since I can't apply much pressure towards the center of the hood with out it caving in and I don't have a ton of time on my hands (I work Mon-Sat and this truck is my daily driver). Let me know what you think... Brian
  3. What compound would you recommend, and is it effective with the PC? At this point, I have made at least 2-3 passes with the SHR. With each pass it seems to get better and the paint doesn't feel rough, but I have spent hours on this part of the hood and still have much more to go. Thanks, Brian
  4. Today I went out to work on the hood of the Lightning. When I bought the truck a few years ago, I noticed water spots on the hood. Soon enough I realized that the spots were not going to come out by hand. I think the truck was definitely a victim to acid rain, as you will see from the spots on the hood. So far with the PC I have used SHR with the orange pad, and FMP and RP with the white pad. I have worked less than quarter of the hood, and there has been an improvement, but at certain angles the spots are still visible. I have tried various methods with the PC, but I want all of your opinions as to whether this is a waste of time, or if I can actually get these spots out. The pictures are below. The first two pictures were taken while I was clay barring the hood, and the last three show the results from what I did above. In the last picture, you can still see the spots. Thanks, Brian
  5. Oh, they're already pooping. Yea, I couldn't let them drown, and the hawks started to come in, so I had to do something. Where in Bethlehem did you grow up? Did you hear that part of Bethlehem Steel has been converted into a Sands Casino? Brian
  6. They were in our pool, but couldn't get out. Two of them were drowning, so my parents and I decided to save them. I plan on watching after them until they're big enough to get out of the pool. When the time comes, I hope that we can release them back to the mother. During the day we put them out on the screened-in porch so she can hear them, so hopefully she sticks around for a little while. Brian
  7. except this box isn't filled with anything that will help me detail my truck. I guess I will be doing my detail job next weekend after all! Brian
  8. Thank you all for the comments!
  9. Hello everyone, Well, after months of looking at Adam's products, I am finally an Adam's user. My parents surprised me at Carlisle and got me the Complete Detailing Kit for my birthday. While I was there, I picked up a PC and a few other things. Thanks again Steve for hooking me up. I drive a 1995 Ford Lightning, and I'm looking forward to using Adam's products on the truck. So far I have used the Car Wash and V.R.T. I also used the PC on half of the hood with SHR, FMP, and MSW, but it still needs more work. I look forward to learning a lot on this forum. Brian
