What's up guys sorry that I'm posting so many threads but I started polishing my truck today and wasn't getting real far because build up I had in my pads from doing my car a few days ago. So I rinsed them out and I am letting them air dry question is how cold is too cold to polish car while outside? Temperature is it supposed to be dropping here and will be in the low forties I believe the rest of the week

What temperature would you all say is too cold to polish and paint correction? Question is I was going to polish today but my pads had too much build-up in them so I'm rinsing them out and letting them dry out. The temperature supposed to drop this week and get down into the forties I believe or low 50s is that too cold to do any paint correction and polishing in? -

Also...after claYing I did the plastic bag test and it still feels gritty . Do I need to hit it with clay again before polishing until it is smooth? This isn't my DD but I do drive it alot so the end result doesn't need to be perfect but I would prefer to do it right . Thanks . And sorry for the ignorant questions . -

As long as I'm not driving it, would it be OK to polish the entire truck over the next few days? I have young kids so I will have to polish when I have time and I'm not chasing them around. I didn't know if I had to clay then start polishing right away and get it all done in the same day. -

I know they make good products I bought stuff 10 years ago and I was very pleased that's why I came back but my question was is it worth going and spending a few hundred dollars on a polisher if I can get the same results from the one I got from Harbor Freight . So I guess I should be asking is it the polishes that make the difference or the polisher or a combination of the two -
What's up guys you all's advice has helped me so far today I tested out my stuff on my daily driver car that sees a lot of highway miles. I did have my hood and got pretty good results out of it my question was does getting a good buffer polisher make that much of a difference for the final result? Right now I have a cheap polisher from Harbor Freight. My next question is how often do you wash your microfiber towels is it after every use? And do you wash in the washing machine with just water or do you use detergent

What's a good price

I was going to try to get my truck knocked out today but i have to leave for work at 6 tonight and I know I won't have enough time to do the outside so I'll probably do it tomorrow as the weather is supposed to be nice -
What's a good price
Mytundra replied to Mytundra's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I know about 10 years ago I paid someone 250 to "buff" my lightning . After seeing the results i wasn't impressed at all. That's when I went out and bought my first adams kit and did it myself with great results. I'm talking about detailing DD here not show cars (unless that opportunity came up).I'm talking prices for just average condition vehicles. Swirl marks....Light scratches...etc . As far as the inside...a good vacuum, interior detail wipeople's down, using in and out, and leather cleaner and conditioner if need be. Just trying to get a ballpark number. Like I said I paid 250 but that was 10 years ago and I wasn't impressed at all -
Since getting my kit even though I haven't even detailed my own truck yet I have had several friends come to me saying they want me to do to their car. My question is what would be a good price for a full detail inside and out and then also polishing the car including all the steps all the way down to strip washing and clay bar? I know years ago I had a mobile detailer come to my house from my old truck and charge me $250 and I was not impressed at all thankd . Thanks in advance
