Some of you might remember an earlier post in this thread about the 2008 C6 getting totaled because of a flood. It's replacement is getting built 5/20!
I can finally look forward to taking new photos for the monthly contest!

...and the yellow DEFINITELY needs the stripes on it to help, looks VERY bland!...
That yellow does look lame. Maybe its the camera. Is it really that color?

Good luck Jason!

...unless you're working in a hermetically sealed garage...
Hmmmm...a hermetically sealed garage...I hadn't thought about that...

Nice, you getting the red interior too? Why a rag top this time?
Yep, the last one was the same red interior. Since the other only had 3400 miles on it before getting totaled, we decided to get the same color combo again. We had a Torch Red w/blk interior before, so the blk/red was switch. Never had a vert before, so after 3 coupes, time for a change.

Haha what color?
The same color as the one that got wet, except a rag top!

That's great news! Going to get a new one?
Of course! I can't let you win all the photo contests!

I finally bought a 75ft rubber house...
People who live in rubber houses can throw stones, unlike the glass ones!

I just noticed I spelled "sprey" instead of "spray" Sounds like I'm a hick!
Maybe I should have this as my avatar!

I think I ruined the end of the hose using the vise grips. I'll load it up w/WD40 and see if I can break it free in a day. Being the nozzle is round doesn't help.

That's bizarre! I've taken mine off and put it on at least a dozen times with no problems. Jason? Adam?
But has it been on for a year? I took pliers and a vice to it, it is not coming off.
-
I have a few words of advice regarding the Fire Hose Nozzle... Everyone might want to use teflon tape when putting it on. Mine has been on the hose for about a year...and it's not coming off, ever.

Adam, you and his family are in our prayers.
Same thing happened to me just a couple of weeks ago. A friend of ours that worked at the Corvette Plant in Bowling Green took his own life. Years ago we went down to the C5/C6 Bash and just happened to meet him at a divey bar. He saw my Corvette hat and struck up a conversation. Every year afterwards, we would meet up. He'd buy me a drink for buying Corvettes, and I'd buy him one for making them. If I was driving thru Bowling Green, I'd stop and take a plant tour - he would always come over and say hello and talk for a short time. While surfing the net to see when the plant was going to start up, I saw his obit. It hit me pretty hard. All of a sudden it puts things back in perspective, doesn't it?

I think my dogs have done most of those things...

Time to get this guy out again...

I watched some of the other videos. He tosses the wash mitt on the ground, then picks it up, puts it in the bucket, and then washes the car. I can't imagine the number of stones embedded in the mitt.

That's the key... light pressure, almost not even touching the car. I own two black cars and have not had any problems.
I think some people use it the same way they sweep off the driveway...
