  1. Yeah, dangit today would have been perfect for a photoshoot.....I should have thought of that.....I normally dont have weekends off so I hope I didnt just ruin the one and only good opportunity!

I definately want to disable the date, and should have done it a while back.

Its just a nikon point and shoot...S210 I think...I will have to mess with the settings and see if I can figure out how to adjust the lighting on it....I agree its a bit bright.

It's no big deal, there will be plenty of opportunities for a shoot.:glasses:

Before you mess with the lighting try taking some pictures around sunset or sun rise with the sun 90 degrees from your subject. If the pictures still appear washed out then you should look at the settings of the camera. You wanna see what your camera will do with softer more even light. You can get some great pictures with a pnc camera, just takes some trial and error to get what you want. All the pictures I have posted so far have been with a 4yr old pnc. The wife had photo sessions when I took the pictures so she had the good camera.

  2. B-E-A-Utiful. Just a suggestion, but I think you should disable the date option on your camera. It takes away from the picture IMO. Also if you wait for later in the day, say 5:00 or so you would get much softer light and your pictures would not look washed out,as in the paint would look richer and not white around the hot spots. Con-Agra is a great place for pictures. I definitely want to do a photoshoot with your car though. It would be a blast.:burnout:
  3. Hey thanks. Here are a few to work with. Hopefully I will get even better ones next spring.

If you are wanting some really nice pics done let me know. I have been looking into adding my eye to my wife's photog. business, and I would love some practice with that sweet car.

  4. Yea dirt is one thing but when it rains on mud is a whole new deal. I know people who have used 1 1/4 gravel with good luck to get rid of mud on graveled roads but jeese a mile is a long way.

Yeah, about 1/2 a mile of it is a county road that they haven't re-graveled in a month or so, and the other 1/2 is in our neighborhood which gets no attention from the county unless all the homeowners pitch in and not enough are willing to do it. So all in all pretty crappy this time of year.

  5. I would give it a real wash. If nothing else rinse as much off as you can and than try waterless wash. That seems a little to dirty though.

Sorry guess I should have clarified I was joking. I need to do a full winter detail on it. Just not gonna happen until the rain stops. Thanks for the suggestion though:2thumbs::2thumbs:

  6. It wouldn't have been so bad when it was in relatively stock form, but with the TV's and audio equipment bulging out of every possible spot, a transmission and tune setup that would snap you neck even on mild shifts, and an exhasut note that would rattle your fillings loose it wasn't practical anymore.

I gotcha, I guess after a couple more mods my truck won't be all that practical for hauling family. Coarse that is why the wife bit the bullet and got a minivan.:D

  7. Been there man... and well worth the trade off. My 03 Silverado SS was my dream truck... I had spent a small fortune getting it exactly how I wanted, but it wasn't ever going to be a practical family ride. Sold the truck, got the TBSS, put the baby seat in the back and haven't had a regret since.

Funny that you got rid of your Silv SS for family. I got my SS because I had a '05 regular cab Silv and an 01 mitsubishi eclipse spyder, which were both useless for more than me and a passenger. The Silv SS fits a car seat nicely, that is if you keep it in the middle of the back seat.

I almost got a TBSS but the wife talked me out of it and told me to get the SilvSS instead.

  8. Good Lookin' pickup Ben:rockon:

What else do you have planned for it, other than the exhaust work previously mentioned?

    Bluezey

Thanks, there is so much planned for the truck. A few of the things I will be working on over the winter is getting a 160* t-stat and e-fans in. Then I will focus on getting the transmission built so that it will be able to handle the added stress of a supercharger down the road.

  9. Through out the six years I was in the Air Force I was collecting DVD's. I think I am up to five hundred or so. I don't really watch any of them anymore, and like so many others they are sitting in boxes in my basement.

I also have a collection of belt buckles, watches, and sunglasses.

As a kid I had the typical comic books, baseball cards,g.i. joes, marvel action figures, and hotwheels/matchbox collections. As well as the not so typical, ticket stubs from everything I ever went to, knives, and car posters.

    I just had a couple collections:lol::lol::lol:

  10. ahh ok cool truck meet was this a ss truck meet.id be interested in going if open to other trucks

It was an SS truck meet but there were other trucks & cars that showed up. The problem is that the two guys that put it on are no longer around. So now it looks as though I will be heading south to Kansas City for future truck meets. Either that or put one on here in NE.
