Adam's Detail Spray does contain a small amount of carnauba content to it, and is intended to add shine, gloss, and depth. If you wanted to retain the dry carbon look as much as possible, I would recommend our new Matte Detailer instead.
Since the hood is treated with a ceramic coating, you can use Detail Spray on it, and it will keep the slightly glossy look, but I would personally recommend our Waterless Wash and our Ceramic Boost instead. Waterless Wash is a cleaner that would add minimal shine, and Ceramic Boost is an SiO2 ceramic infused spray sealant designed specifically to maintain and enhance ceramic coatings. Since our Detail Spray has a small amount of wax in it, over time it could begin to slightly diminish the hydrophobic water-repelling properties of the coating itself, but this is not something I have noticed on my personal vehicle.
Hope that helps and let us know if you have any other questions!
