That may be true, but a video found right here on this website of the guy applying it says that it should be ready to wipe off within just a few minutes. I never waited a few minutes, I was wiping off within 30 seconds most of the time. I'll also say that I applied it indoors, and then backed it up into the sun. I only did this b/c a gentleman that introduced me to adams said this is the process he uses for his corvette, porche, jaguar, ferrari, bmw, and truck. Hard for me, a rookie, to go against someone that's been doing this for years on far more exotic cars than I have. If it works for him, it's good enough for me. That was why I moved it into the sun after application. Yes, I did all the appropriate prep work before applying. The car looks great, except for those spots. Which are now removed. But now wondering if I washed everything off and need to re-coat.

Ok, so it was getting dark soon when i made this post. I didn't want to wait till morning and allow the residue to have an additional 10 hours to cure or get baked on. So i took the coating prep supplied and the white towel and i went to work! With alot of elbow grease, i was able to remove the dark spots and the rainbow effect going on. It's dark now and there's nothing left to do but wait till morning and see if i succeeded or not. Next question...is there any chance that i removed the coating by rubbing so hard to remove the residue?

Used the ceramic coating for the first time today. I washed, thoroughly, before applying. I did as instructed in the youtube vids and applied in 2x2 or 3x3 sections before wiping down with the supplied towel. I pulled my car into the driveway to help the cure process in our beautiful, warm New Mexico climate. A new friend of mine here in NM has been applying ceramic coating to all of his exotic cars for years, and strongly encouraged me to park it in the sun for a few hours to help the curing process. About 2 hours after applying, i met my wife when she pulled up in the driveway and showed her the new shine. I was horrified to see dark spots in several places, including what looks like the rainbow effect. I know for sure that i wiped each section down within 1-2 minutes after applying the coating. I was hoping to wake up tomorrow morning and apply the boost and have my new car!! I'm still hoping that these spots are just part of the curing process. Any input is greatly appreciated.

New to Adams and ceramic coating. Applied my first coat today on my new vette. Got some questions but will browse around the forums looking for an answer first.
