  1. That is hillarious.  Of course I didn't mention the bible lesson the buyer gave me either.  I found humor in considering I saw the message after I got home from church.

    OH that bible lesson.

  2. I could point to both sides:   You could have said item will ship within 24 - 48 hours of purchase (not including weekends or holiday).  He could have asked how soon will you ship this item to me if I purchase it.  Just sounds like not enough community from both parties in this.

  3. On your next order: Adams Glass Cleaner, Adams Glass Sealant, Adams Undercarriage Spray.

Trust me you will like the glass cleaner around the house.

Also looks like somone has more work cut out for them the car and bike too.

  4. I change the oil in everything else (my suv, my parents vehicles, all the tractors, lawnmowers, etc).   One reason I do it myself (fairly cheap) the only bad part is the price of the oil.

That is what I am reading and hearing from a few buddies is to go with Samsung.    I have a Sony Bravia in the family room and up until now have been a Sony or Magnavox person.

  5. I hate diesel oil.  Went much better this time after purchasing a new pan to catch the oil.  Last time it was a mess.  Pans that I had where too shallow and 10 quarts of oil shooting out hit the bottom and sides and bounced out all over my driveway.  This pan fixed that issue.

Chris.....take it in.....my truck is also a diesel and it goes to Valvoline Oil Change to get done.

Looks like you had a nice package from Tire Rack and delivered by UPS. :)  I do like that pattern.

Also researching what kind of TV I want to purchase to replace my TV that is now not working (20 years).  I am not sure I got my moneys worth out of it.

  6. My VOTE is for Tennessee.  I can attest to anything that I order that ships here on the east coast that I do get it two working days ground service no matter if it is FedEx or UPS.  I have even learned where to order things and pay for ground service and have it the next day due to distribution centers.

I see you realized about 3rd Party Logistics company (3PL).  Do not worry your not the only person to have done this with a business.  I have seen it happen over and over companies start using third parties to take care of various services.   In the end it does hurt the business and the customers (internal and external).   Where I use to work we used a third party to provided IT services.  At first the cost was very reasonable but then it kept going up and up and up and then service was going down slowly.  Same thing happened where I am at now but they have finally pulled all the third party services back inhouse now.

  7.

Chewy (Chris)  I am on my second mowing this year.  I cut it short the prior week hoping that the frost we had this week would slow it down some but it seems like it made it grow even faster.

LFairbanks (Chris)  I bet all of you enjoyed that right.  It appears you got some great pictures of the area.   Guess the son is now hooked on flying.  The next city over had a program like that and you would not believe how many would have pilots license before a drivers license.

  8. I drive more than average for my job which averages 30-40k a year, so I think I need to be a little more mature about my choice and consider something awd and good in the snow.

I average 30,000 miles a year driving.  You might want to consider the Mercedes ML350.  It is an AWD vehicle.   This is the best vehicle in the snow that I have ever driven.  Currently in my family we have two of these (my father and myself).   My father has over 200,000 with no issues and I have 108,000 on mine now.  The ML350 starts around $48,000 new.   It is one of the first luxury SUV's named an IIHS Top Safety Pick (models built after August 2013).   When the time comes I plan on replacing it with another M Class.

  9. When I went to lunch today it was such a great day outside.   Then when I left the office to head home noticed that it was 70.  It was warm enough that the AC came on in the SUV driving home and when I walked in the house it was running.

  10. First, let me say that this thread officially disturbs me because it makes the reader picture his forum buddies in the shower...

That said, I shave in the shower, too. I just use a little body wash lathered up on the face and I get a good, close shave every time. I use Gillette sensor razors and they last forever with this process.

Rich,  I did not think of that until you said it  my thinking was the mirror.    My thinking is how do you all shave in the shower without a mirror (I can do it without a mirror but prefer the mirror when I shave)?
