Thanks everyone!! I like the idea of following the sealant with a wax, or maybe even ceramic with a wax - all great ideas! Sorry I didn't get a before picture with all the scratches and halo damage. Hopefully this after shot of the previously damaged area shows you the results. Now, all that can really be seen is a reflection of my garage ceiling with garage door opener and florescent lights - no kidding, this finish is like a black mirror!

My daughter went over to Adam's and got a box of products for me as a Christmas gift. Today, we had a nice warm day here in Colorado, so I thought I'd give this stuff a try on the Porsche. I had previously been trying to get scratch out by hand, with polish from another company and ended up with almost like a hologram of varying scratches - a real mess. I whined about it to my daughter - hence the gift. I've watched all the youtube video's by Adam on how to machine polish and began by washing and claying. Started with the white finish polish/white pad (just being careful). Paint looked better, but deeper scratches remained. Upgraded to orange correction polish on an orange pad and viola, after a couple passes all the scratches that I was unable to remove by hand were gone leaving an amazing finish! Water spots were gone too!! Then went back over it with the finish polish/white pad and OMG, the finish now reflects like a black mirror!! I never even needed to use any of the blue heavy polish or the microfiber pad included in the box. So far, I've only done the rear fender and half the trunk (these were the most scratched areas - now perfect), but the products are so easy to use I can't wait to do more! IMHO, THESE ADAMS PRODUCTS FLAT OUT WORK LIKE MAGIC ON BLACK PORSCHE PAINT. My question is, once I get the rest of the car paint corrected, what kind of sealant should I use to protect it? (would like more durability than wax). Can I put sealant on directly over the polished finish, or are there other steps? Also, since I may not be able to get back to polishing for awhile should I do something to wash my orange and white pads?
