    New Wheel Woolies

    Same thin handles :(

Honestly, as a guy with larger hands, it's like trying to clean with a pencil that has a fuzzy end. I've even added another grip to make my (older style) woolie somewhat better, but it's still not comfortable. May have to get a putter grip (and help me practice my short game!), but I don't think that it should be necessary to spend more money.

I know it's been asked about before, but what kept you from considering/offering larger handles? I understand they just came out and congrats on offering more options, but I must ask again...can you look into offering larger handles...please??!!

A few years ago I sent EZ Detail a full page about some observations I made when I used their detail brushes, the biggest was making them with checkering on the handles so they would not slip out of customers hands when washing, with other small improvement suggestions as well, initially they emailed me back and said my ideas were great and they would be incorporating them into there new line coming out, in actuality they never did anything of the kind, not even one. You would have thought a company would find such things golden and have relished an opportunity such as this, I guess all they were doing was humoring me, now I buy only the red Speed Master brushes.

Absolutely.  Nine years in Hawaii and they were dog years.  Waikiki isn’t real life. We had friends with beachfront, and nothing ferrous lasted more than a few years.  It wasn’t as bad at altitude or inland, but you can’t completely avoid the spray.  The waterless products should hold you over between full washes.  Plenty of room in Texas for you — no state income tax here either!

I'm a coming! I had a job interview with the US Border Patrol a couple of years ago in El  Paso, the weather and heat and the low humidity was so different from Florida, I didn't want to go back.

It's going to be somewhere out that way, I understand Arizona is nice too,  I'm envious of your dry heat, after a lifetime of living here, I've had my fill of the east coast(and all that comes with it), of the US.

  3. My God, just thinking of all those endless piles of polishes, waxes, and everything detailing under the sun, 'oh yeah, that's the stuff'...!

Did it seem dead to you compared to years prior?

So many locals I've spoken to have said that it was.

@Dispatch....all I said above are super easy products to use, and none require a hose or water. What am I missing?

No no, I was just saying what I been doing/using so far, I'll give those a shot. :2thumbs:

Living at or near the beach isn't what most think, its a lot of work especially if you like to keep what's yours in good shape...

  5. The only thing that's available which works well is 'salt-off' I get from West Marine but it's a pain because you have to drag out the hose and everything else, also the bike gets all soaked, it would be soooo... nice if I could find a quick detailer that did exactly as this stuff does, just not with so much back-breaking effort all the time and so often...

BullFrog makes a rust blocker but I've never tried it on a motorcycle.

The thing is (as you all may know), you can't let salty air spray sit, it's really damaging to a cars/bikes beautiful finish especially the chrome.

I had a brand new enclosed motorcycle trailer I bought, even with constant washing(once every week or so),  in less than a year of living in a condo on A1A, all the metal hardware corroded and rusted so badly I sold it not too long after that. Dont%20Know._zpspaniwiwo.gif

  6. If needed, a new Flex 3401 still new in the box and plenty of red and black foam polishing pads.

For wax, I have CG 50/50 paste wax and jetseal 109 although due to the minor state of the marks, I'd much rather do it by hand 'if possible'.

I have some light CG scratch remover too.

  7. Yeup, the title is correct, while washing a set of saddlebags from a new 2019 HD Road Glide Special in a bathtub, resting it on a soft towel, unfortunately, the soap suds with the Wookie's Fist, and overall slipperiness caused me to lose my grip and WHAMO! the saddlebag tapped the tile wall causing slight... damage to the lids paint.ff296e70-d9c2-4f90-ab56-d9c9e8a52a7f-ori

They don't look too deep but I'm wondering about what some here might think (from actual experience), would be the best way to fix this (sorry the photos aren't crisper)... Confused._zpsd5nzecqq.gif
