All comments or suggestions for a better process are welcomed !!!!!
The first step was actually yesterday. It was to NOT let the dealer wash it before I took delivery !!!! In the long run it will probably save me a few hours of correction work today
So here is the plan for today.
WASH/CLAY :
Adam's Car Wash, hopefully the rain will at least slow down for a few minutes, wouldn't want it to get wet
In the garage for drying and then lots of clay, right now the finish feels like sandpaper.
Back out for another wash.
PAINT/CORRECTION
Inspect the finish and make the decision on SHR w/ orange pad or FMP w/ white pad. If I had to guess I'lll probably be starting with SHR.
But even if I do start with SHR w/ orange I will be following with FMP w/ white.
Next will be RP w/gray pad.
Then MSW w/gray pad followed by a layer of BW by hand. Last step will be BSG !!!
EXTERIOR
Of course the glass will get clay and BSG.
The tires will be cleaned with APC and dressed with VRT.
BW and BSG for the rims
Under carriage will be scrubbed and dressed with UCS
Under the hood will also get a APC scrub followed by I&O Spray
INTERIOR
Interior will get VRT on plastics and LC for the leather.
Did I miss anything ?
You missed the beer break. Have to stand back and observe the results of each step.

I'd move out of California TODAY if it wasn't for 99% of my family and relatives being here.
No problem just get them all to move....

Hey Guys/Gals! New guy here from Buffalo NY with a 2002 Corvette Z06. I plan on getting the machine kit from Adams and in spring get some good pictures of the new shine.
Good choice you will not be disappointed, the results with the PC are impressive to say the least.

I put mine in the dryer on a no heat setting with a few old plain white t-shirts so they are not only quieter and dry faster, but the pads tend to open the door on front of my dryer if in by themselves!
Thanks, Good Idea I will give it a try

Adam,
Thanks, I appreciate the information and suggestion about using the PC to spin the pads (how obvious) sometimes you just can't see the forest through the trees.
Thanks Again
Tom

Yesterday I was outside talking to a neighbor when another neighbor stopped by he looks at my truck then proceeds to comment how fantastic is looks and he was amazed at how good the color looked and how he cannot get his to look that good.

Wow, this show sucks.
Never cared for the original Night Rider show so consequently I have not watched the new one. Thanks for the review. lol

I have been an advocate of hand waxing for years but lately the truck seems to be getting bigger and bigger that being said I made the jump to the Porter Cable and the Generation 2 pads and will not return to hand waxing any time soon.

I think that I prefer the 16 oz. bottles, i think that any bigger will cumbersome, when putting on DS, I hang the bottle on my pants, a bigger bottle will have my pants draggin' on the floor!

Ditto - I could not have said it any better
Today's plan for my new truck
