I recently purchased this 2011 vette. Love everything about the car, however.... it has this problem on the rear quarter. I took it to a detailer who said its clearly burnt through the clearcoat and needs to be painted. He is affiliated with a paint shop BTW. I am not sure if thats correct. That spot has a slinky smooth waxy type feel to it, while the unaffected areas still have a gritty feel from dirt. Any ideas on how I can determine if its through the clear coat ?
