  1. Just was curious about opinions within the community on how people like to rise their vehicles after a wash? Specifically, do you prefer to use a garden hose with or without a nozzle of some type? Do you prefer to use a pressure washer with a certain nozzle tip you prefer? I washed my black '19 Denali last night and used my pressure washer with a soap nozzle tip to do the rinse. I was pleased somewhat but after using my foam cannon and megafoam, the foam was more challenging to remove from all crevices than with my garden hose and Eley spray nozzle. Certainly the flow is greater with my garden hose and than the pressure washer.
  2. RayS, Thanks for the response and recommendations! My wife and I picked up the Tahoe this morning and I was shocked. It was washed/dried very well. Even had a layer of spray wax on it! No scratches that I could find and I looked it over carefully in good light. All shipping stickers removed perfectly too. Even the tire shine was applied properly, no runs/sling. It was our 1st time working with this dealership too. We found out today the owner has a classic car collection in a separate building and im guessing they take the PDI process seriously? Regardless, sounds like I should strip off the spray wax and use an Adam's ceramic product.
  3. To my surprise, our local dealer called yesterday and notified me that my '23 Z71 Tahoe has arrived from the factory! Seemed like getting it with the 6.2L gas been some of the hold up. It's been on order since April of last year unfortunately. It hasn't sat outside too much so the paint is hopefully fresh. The dealer will do their minimal cleaning that I'm sure will produce its first scratches. I was just curious what level of protection others recommend for a new vehicle like this. The paint is sterling silver metallic. Spray wax? Buttery wax? Adams paste waxes? Or Graphene coating? Which I have absolutely no experience with. This Tahoe will be a daily driver and not a show vehicle. Regardless it will be washed often and taken care of paint wise. Thanks for any feedback!
  4. Thanks for the response RayS. I'm beyond pleased with the Adams Spray Wax. For a quick wax it actually has some longevity to it in relation to other brands. When traditional waxing is needed I'm probably going with the Buttery Wax. I can swap over to Detail Spray after washing then.
  5. Thanks for the response here Falcaineer. The 1st video was excellent. The Escalade was similar to our Yukon Denali XL. Big vehicles with lots of surface area to clean and water spot. The one difference I noticed was Adam used detail spray as the lubricant/dry aide. I use the Adams spray wax. After I've leaf blown the vehicle. Is the spray wax a mistake? 2nd video was good especially with the concentration on wheels. On our ZL1 Camaro-Black, I see the benefits of getting the barrel brush. On our Yukon and Sierra it's not as necessary. I will say, from start to finish on either the Yukon XL or the Sierra crew cab, it's taking me on average 2-2.5 hrs. Not sure if there is a way I can speed this up and get the same results? This time frame includes 10 min of equipment prep and 10 minutes of equipment cleanup too. Feel free to provide any other feedback. Thanks!
  6. I have what I think is a decent arsenal of Adam's products for my wash, dry, and wax but I was curious for feedback? The vehicles: 2019 GMC Sierra Denali-Black 2019 GMC Yukon XL Denali-Black 2022 Chevy ZL1 Camaro-Black The equipment: 3.5 GPM/3000 psi pressure washer Adams Premium Foam Cannon Chenille Wash Mitt Bucket & Grit guard for rinse of mitt Adams Great White Drying Towel In-line garden hose water filter (RV) Well water that's slightly hard The Adams chemicals: Mega Foam Tire & Wheel Cleaner Spray Wax Tire Shine I'm pleased with the results of the equipment and chemicals. Mega Foam is impressive. Also with black vehicles and slightly hard water even with the in-line filter, using sorry wax while drying is almost a must. Any other thoughts of what I should or perhaps shouldn't be doing? Thanks!
