  1. Mine I heats the oil as well.

I sell them to do both, or either. I have even seen dipstick oil heaters (don't work for a darn!)

I have a telescopic snow brush, and I brush down to about 1 inch.. If its light enough it will blow off, or the blaster would work. But for the wet heavy snows your not blowing that off.. So I will hit the Quarter wash on my way to the house and put the SS in the garage for the night..

  2. Brandi, I'm glad your OK! Holy Scary!

Just remember, a gun is only as good as the operator, spend a lot of time shooting with Matt(yea that's so hard to stomach right? LOL), and with someone close to home with experience.

Don't even bother with the "What Gun/Caliber Should I Get" question yet. Get yourself acclimated to shooting, try different guns, different calibers.

If your going to carry for protection (obviously), you need to decide if you want to carry on your person or in your bag, I prefer on person, that is where I'm going to train Kel to carry (she hates guns, but shes coming around), your purse can get left, lost, or even stolen, so IMHO body carry is best.

  3. Holograms are caused by a Rotary machine's head spinning all over the place. You'll notice the PC7424XP is a Dual Action machine. The action of the head is oscillation vs rotation.

I don't see how it's possible to cause Holograms (buffer trails) with the PC.

    Mook

I'm pretty sure thats exactly what Dylan told me when I asked the same question after I did the wife's car first go around, he said it may be excessive product and that to do a test wipe down on a panel with IPA (no Mook not the Ale! We do not waste good product!), and that did the trick.

    Hope that helps.

  4. I have a disclaimer in my contract sheet that states

Anything left in your vehicle that constitutes an illegal substance / paraphernalia or a bio-hazard will result in the cancellation of service and forfeiture of down payment.

It has more to it dealing with personal items, firearms, etc left in the car. I have already come across used condoms (major yuck!), loaded guns (really? How do you forget that??), and a drug pipe(NASTY!). I do a walk through and photograph areas of the car for both the customers assurance/safety and mine. There are some very unscrupulous people in this world and I am just being safe.

I personally carry a gun, and have no issues with them, or condoms, or even if you want to party in your own privacy. I do however have an issues with them when it could affect my health, business, or even freedom!

    This is what I do..

  5. I'm comparing a Vette, a Rendezvous (soon to be gone) and an Equinox. A huge difference is really parking. All three are in a garage at home, and my wife and I both park in a parking garage at work, except on weekends. On weekends, yes, my car will be outside all day.

I wonder if that has something to do with it?? The SS is out pretty much 24/7 so it bakes on an asphalt parking lot all day long. Most times my interior temp is 100+ even with my tint!!

Funniest thing.. its only the front and back windows.. never the side ones.. Those are just decorated with Doggie Nose Art!

John I got the same letter, and its not moisture that I can think of. No smells or moisture on the windows when I come out after work.

  6. Tim are you comparing the Vette? Do you drive it all summer and is it outside all summer? I really doubt its the L&IC its got to be something else.. I only SVRT the top 1/2 of my front 2 doors. Everything else is L&IC and its A LOT of plastics and leather in these SSs.. Just saying..

  7. Interesting theory...lets do some practical testing!

What do you think about dressing your interior (quick wipedown with WW then LC), next time you clean your windshield. Lets see if it's less 'prone to gas out' then land on your glass if it's been covered with dressing.

    Thoughts?

Not sure I follow.. I clean my dash with WW then reapply L&IC. In fact I clean every panel that way, and only the doors get SVRT instead for water repellent reasons. I also do a follow up knockdown of the L&IC to keep the sheen down. But I do coat EVERYTHING in my interior with it.

So what exactly would you like me to try? And its cold here already so it happens a LOT slower now. Just so you know..

Lets see, bad breath and gas as two theories - this thread is heading downhill!

I thought the gassing out was with newer vehicles.

Leather will always gas out, especially if you condition it every 2 weeks or so in the summer like I do..

  8. I had been having issues with the windshield re-hazing in less than 2 days all summer. I'm guessing the heat and the leather = crappy windows. It reminded me of smokers windows, or if your heater core is bad (Mines not replaced in the fall)

I have been using BG on my house windows since I got my first bottle, and it makes spring clean up wicked easy so I thought I would experiment.

I clayed and cleaned the inside with GC then I put BG on the INSIDE of the windshield. Well it didn't stop the hazing, BUT!! All I need to do is use a single soft and wipe the windshield every other day and its streak & haze free! I do rewash and apply it about every 2 weeks.

Oh and before someone posts.. The pics of the haze on glass are nearly impossible to capture so I have none!:willy:
