    I have the XP version and I rarely crank it up all the way for polishing, as it causes too much vibration on my hands and I can work pretty effectively at slower speeds.  IMHO, stick to the original or upgrade to a different (non-PC) machine.

    I found that the type of lighting you need is dependent upon the situation (i.e, paint color, type of damage) you are up against.  I wanted relatively inexpensive/handheld devices for inspecting the paint I was correcting.  I settled on buying both Brinkman models - the dual LED and dual Xenon spotlights, and I couldn't be happier.
