  1. It has 140,000 miles on it. It is definitely rock pecks, I can feel it with my fingernail. Oh well, I will just live with it.
  2. Update: looks like it isn't sap so much as a million tiny rock pecks I think the previous owner must have driven behind a gravel truck or something because the front bumper is the same.
  3. I don't have brilliant glaze laying around unfortunately I'll try the dawn trick posted above, though. I appreciate the help!
  4. My 2011 Sierra Denali has a ton of little "speckles" all over the outside of the windshield. It's really annoying in the mornings when I am driving in to the sun. I have clayed the windshield and thoroughly cleaned it, but they are still there. I *think* it may be tree sap as I do occasionally have to park close to trees at work. What's the next best step? I was thinking very fine steel wool as I've used that on another vehicle in the past that had paint overspray all over the windshield.
  5. Hey everyone, I have some hand pinstriping done on my hood and tailgate that is on top of the clear. What is a best practice for polishing around it? I assume I could just tape it off but thought I would ask here for pointers.
  6. I use a Husky tool bag for my detailing stuff, and I had a bottle of Deep Wheel Cleaner crack and soak the inside of it. The bag is semi-waterproof and I have washed it out a few times and left it to sit in the sun but it still has that eggy smell to it. Any suggestions on how to get the smell out?
  7. Spent about 4 hours polishing my car yesterday in which I somehow neglected to dry the windshield , which now has lovely etched water spots all over it. We have super hard water here. What's the best way to get rid of them?
  8. I missed the boat on ordering these and now they aren't in the store anymore. Any chance these will come back?
  9. I had some spare wheels sitting around in my shop uncovered when I painted a hood and now they have green overspray all over them. This Is actual automotive paint not spray paint. Not sure where to even start on getting it off - all suggestions are welcomed.
  10. Dude I swear you probably think I am stalking you on forums! How's it going?
  11. I am bad about kicking the door panel accidentally when I get out of my car and it has left some scuffs on NAND around the speaker grill. I used the total interior detailer and scrubbed and that seemed to get most of it off but I am not sure what to do about the speaker grill. Suggestions?
  12. I did not. I came here before trying anything more extreme than cleaner. I will give clay a shot.
  13. The windshield on my show car has some sort of residue on the outside that won't come off with cleaners. I guess it needs to be polished. What pad/product combo should it use for this?
  14. I have recently plastidipped my wheels and am wondering what's safe to use to clean them. I've been using diluted simple green but my Brembos dust pretty badly and I know I am going to need something stronger.
  15. I traded my G8 for an 09 CTS-V about two months ago. I've taken it through the touch less wash twice out of necessity but today I hand washed it and waxed it by hand as well. Now that I have seen it in the sun I see that the entire car is covered with water spots, which I guess I've waxed over now. Our water is on the hard side, and I know that affects it. What is my next step to get rid of it? I have a Porter Cable 7424 and have used it with Adam's pads and whatnot before. This is my first black car and I want that perfect finish!
  16. Well, somehow I've gotten gunk of some sort in the perforated holes in my seats. I tried using leather cleaner on a rag but it doesn't get the stuff out of the holes. What should I use to get it out?
  17. Hello Adams peeps. I am finishing up a paint job on my 95 Silverado that has a matte clear coat. Is it possible to use any of Adam's products to protect the paint without causing glossiness?
