  1. Got home yesterday and will follow up with pictures in a day or so.

Had breakfast with Adam on Wednesday. He was moving at Mach II with his hair in fire during the show.

A few of our guys played blackjack with Chip Foose and his wife and Angie from Overhaulin at from 1:00 to 3:00 am. Blackie G. was playing craps and had his scoot-around stolen by Chip who proceeded to do doughnuts around the Hilton Casino..

Walked my keester off for three days and had a swell time !!

    Pictures later...

  4. Today was the first sprinkles of fall here in Sacramento. My wife, ( God I love her ), MUST have black cars. Her latest is a little Jeep Liberty.

As you all know "sprinkles" on a black car are no fun. and the after effects of water spotting. Prior to WW the only way to remove the spots was to bucket-wash the whole car and give it a quick shot of BSG.

Used the WW this morning and WOW !! No Water Spots after ward !!! That's all that was needed and a quick shot of BSG topped it off.

After it was done THEN I say to myself, " $%#@ Should have taken before-n-after pics ! " Next time !!

I'm officially in love with my wife again !!!

  5. Thanks,

I was afraid to use the MF applicators too for the same reason. I have not tried APC yet. Still using up Simple Green..

I'm in the habit of cleaning all supplies, pads and applicators right after use so clean up is no problem.

One thing I did try for wheel polishing last week was to use the new Adams smaller pads on a cordless drill, and cover the pad with a piece of soft terry cloth covering the pad. Used big honking rubber band to keep it on the small pad. It worked pretty well.. While it was easier , I'm really after the best results possible...

  6. OK.. To start I love the Metal Polish and the results I get on my billet wheels and other billet parts.

According to instructions a micro fiber towel should be used with the product, which don't use. I just can't bring myself to use one of my Adams towels with metal polish and mess it up with the resulting black oxidation residue. :willy:

So I guess my question is, will that black stuff come out in a wash, or will the MF towel be doomed for all time? :help:

I meant to watch the Adams crew in action to see how they handle it, :lurk: and probably should have asked them, but,,, I forgot !!!

What do you more experienced detailers do to get the metal polish residue off MF towels?

    Thanks in advance !

  7. The DS is to be used to help really punch the shine on your car after it's cleaned up good. To get my car ready for a Show & Shine this past weekend, I had to clean it with the WW, then went over it with the DS to get it to really shine. The DS seems to add a little more shine to the whole car, even when it's clean and freshly waxed.

OK That makes sense... At the two shows I did this weekend, I used the WW at both BUT at the one on Saturday, where we took one of the awards, I followed up with the Show Glaze to start the day, then used WW to dust a few times during the day.

I "think" I get better results using the WW after the car is/has been sitting out in the sun rather than the DS. It seems, to me anyway, that the DS works GREAT on cooler surfaces with less work to remove it, than the WW.

Next show I'll try the DS for the dusting procedure.

People came up to me every time I was cleaning/dusting wanting to know what it was I was using. Web site numbers should go up this week... ;)
