I took my Hot Wheel in to the dealership for its first oil change.  I went to pick it up, and when I saw my key, there was a tag that said "washed. out front."  I murmured "No, please don't tell me they washed my car."  I guess I said it a little louder than I thought.  The woman at the cashier counter blanched.  

 

I quickly said "Hey, no worries.  It's my fault for not saying anything."  She still rushed off towards the service counter.

 

One of the service guys came out an apologized, saying "sorry, you weren't listed as a no-wash customer."

 

"Totally my fault.  No problem.  I didn't say anything up front.  It never occurred to me that you'd wash the car for an oil change... By the way, does your car wash just use water jets?"

 

"No, it has brushes." (I must have reacted) "BUT, they are really soft brushes."

 

He apologized again, and now I felt bad.  But I was more mad at myself.  When I got home I had to deal with water spots and drips from the tail-lights, etc.  Lesson learned, I guess.  Kudos as well to the service folks for taking the time to apologize for doing something they thought was a bonus.

Thanks guys maybe I can starting looking at 2014 Silverado time to talk to the wife.

Any ideas what else might work on this area ,flex? I used my PC with the old three steps process. Also starting to see a little spot like this on the hood but not as bad. I have heard about this on early year titans that they have had paint problems. Hope mine is not going down that road. Just trying to stop it now. Thanks for any tips

I got the buckets grits guards the large Mitt, drying towels.

The basic....Brillant glaze,ButteryWax,Quick Sealant ,Hand polsiheing kit, i was thinking about a foam gun.

My great wife got me a Pc for my birthday can't wait to use this on my truck . Finally no more waxing the truck by hand. I got 50 gift card too ... What do I get from Adams next.

Quick question my brother in law took in is 2011 ford edge to the dealer to get a leaky transmission fixed. Now there going to keep it for a couple days,this is the third time it's been in there since last summer when they got it. DOES FORD HAVE TO GIVE YOU A LOANER ADEQUATE TO WHAT YOU DRIVE? They want to give him a focus he has a pregnant wife and a two year old.
