I saw this yesterday and these stories always gets me a little teary eyed. As an owner of 2 dogs that are so very loyal to me and my family I couldn't imagine going thru something like this.

Like you said Rich, I'm amazed at the strong hearted and courageous people over there.

Sirens go off during every other storm here in Lawton lol. Just like Fort Sill with the artillery range, were all used to it. BUT there are those storms that get really bad and have tornado's. Many people say we're stupid for still living here knowing that we're in tornado alley but what people don't see is how amazing Oklahoma is. I was born and raised here, and will probably never leave. What happened in Moore is really devastating but we'll help each other out as much as we can to make sure everybody is taken care of and that everything gets rebuilt asap. There are SO many people giving and donating that for a little while Moore had to turn people away because there were already too many people. Oklahoman's have the biggest hearts in the world, anywhere you go there's people willing to give you the shirt off their back. And that's what happening in Moore and Shawnee, we won't stop til everything is back to normal.

Imagine losing literally everything and then finding your dog. The way this woman -- and everyone in OK that I have seen on TV -- maintains a positive, selfless attitude absolutely inspires me.

The very day of the storm NBC news interviewed a couple that had just lost their home. The reporter asked them what they were going to do now (that evening) and the guy just said "I guess we'll just go in there and help our neighbors." Amazing people.

I would think this is normal, there is pressure up to the wand while it is running.  I t would take a lot of force to overcome this, plus you would get soaked if you succeeded.

There will always be purists, and there will always be people who want to modify their car to the way they want it so they can enjoy driving it. You only live once, so what's the point of owning a hunk of metal, plastic and rubber if you're not going to get the maximum enjoyment out if it?

Just keep a nice coat of sealant/wax on it to prevent any swirls induced from wiping it down so often.  There is no beating pollen until it the season is over.

I've used Adam's Leather and Interior Cleaner on the VW's heated seats and never noticed any scent above and beyond the general clean scent that it leaves in the car once it's been applied.

The Syclone was what first got me into the truck thing back when I was a kid.  I wanted one so so bad, but was only 13  then.

    Full Article Here.

    1991 GMC Syclone

The Syclone, a one-year-only monster mini pickup, arrived just as the sport truck scene was gathering steam. GM had some recent experience turbocharging V-6 engines, and this one channeled the soul of the mightiest turbocharged Buick Grand Nationals of the 1980s. The result was a GMC S-15 pickup that trounced a Ferrari in a famous Car and Driver test that pitted the just-under-$30,000 Syclone against a $122,000 Ferrari 348.

The turbocharged 4.3-liter V-6 that sent the Syclone to 60 mph in just 5.3 seconds put out 280 hp and 360 lb-ft of torque, channeled to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic borrowed from the Corvette. The Syclone only came in black and was followed in 1992–1993 by the Typhoon, a GMC Jimmy SUV with the same powertrain.

And I've never seen one of these in person...

I think you should buck up and take your bitter pills. You earned it by exceeding the posted speed limit. When I got my first speeding ticket, I took a driver improvement course so the ticket would not go on my record or take any points off my record. My 2nd speeding ticket was last year in CO. I simply mailed in my check for the fine. I doubt if it went on my record since I paid it on time. If you want to spend money on a lawyer, it's your money. Not worth it to me.

I run 6 new/fresh MF cloths (200 gram) in a fresh wash bucket. Wash a panel and toss the used MF cloth into an empty bucket. Grab a fresh cloth and move to next panel... Saving the bottom 1/3rd of the vehicle for last. Run around it with the master blaster, fine tune with DS and a single soft (or 3).

My wash cloths never see the car for longer than one panel. I have maintained swirl-free paint with this method longer than I did with the 2 bucket and merino pad method.

Modified vehicles seem to raise the feelings of purists and converts with many shocked that someone would modify a perfectly good vehicle to a point beyond restoration while others wonder why the designers didn't think of that in the first place.

Some seem shocked in a good way and others are left shaking their heads.

These are some of the reactions I've felt from Corvette fanatics when they see my 1982 Collector Edition.

You see, I always wanted a late C3 convertible and finally found this beautiful example in the collection of an architect from San Francisco

I love this car and find myself among fanatics who can't understand why GM stopped building convertible C3 Corvettes in 1975.

I belive this limited build car is now even more special and rather than just one of 6,759 CE's produced, it's now one of only two examples known to me.

All my cars, especially this example are lovingly cared for with Adams products.

Don't worry about the purists - drive it, share your passion and enjoy the ride.
