  1. Yes, I use the Detail Spray/towel after doing the flooding technique. DS is a great product! I buy it by the gallons.
  2. Great stuff here that I have not thought of before. I use Adams big drying towel and just like mentioned by fellow member: I think I miht be putting too much pressure on the pads while washing and towels while drying. I tend to try to remove any spec of stubborn dirt stuck to the paint, and by doing so I might be getting the scratches - My cars are white and it is easy to spot contaminations. Maybe I should leave them alone and remove after I dry the cars. I will look into getting a machine because I want to take care of it now, since they're still few and far apart. Thank you all
  3. Thanks for all the replies. sportmistress: - I will try to get a picture of the area. They're hard to see unless under bright sun. camaro and feets31: Somewhat relieved to hear that this is a normal occurence - would hate to think I was doing something completely wrong after all the effort put into it. The lines are spreaded out. They're not straight in relation to each other but straight lines, it brings to mind a sky with a bunch of shooting stars, if you will. GX: I rinse my pads against the guard, soak them with high pressure water holding them in the air, then more rinse and finally quick waving them in the air to dry. Chobbs: what products/kit do you think for hand polishing? Thanks again. much appreciated.
  4. Hi all, Both of my cars are brand new and I have washed them with only Adam's methods and products since day one. Two bucket wash (actually two, but only the rinse one has the grit guard). Now I started to notice some light scratches when looked in the sun at certain angles. They appear to be very shallow and go in straight lines. They're all around the car, but not in swirl shapes, only straight lines. I dont know what I am doing wrong, the only thing I can think of is the wash mitts/pads are getting old and could be retaining some dirt. The products I have been using are: - Adam's car shampoo - Clay - Revive car polish - Quick Sealant - Americana wax Any thoughts why I am getting those scratches and best way to remove them? Thanks
  5. Yes. But it has been on my crosshairs for a long time. Just waiting for the right time to get the right car to make it even more special. Taking wife and 6yo daughter for trip of a lifetime. There's a huge online community dedicate only for this program.
  6. In my bucket list for sure Thanks. One of the great things having a car in Europe is enjoying the back roads and exploring little towns that otherwise can be overlooked. One for the car shine Hope you do it someday. Unique experience, not to mention you get the royal treatment by BMW in Munich Will look into that. Much appreciated.
  7. Config your car and place your order through an authorized BMW center. Pay for the car a week or two before taking delivery Fly to Munich to take delivery at the BMW Welt Drive it in Europe for up to 14 days (registration, insurance, plates all provided) Return the car to one of several locations in Europe at the end of you tour Fly back home and go crazy tracking the cargo ship as it crosses the Atlantic with you car. Take re-delivery at your dealership or at The BMW Performance Center in SC. Well, that's BMW Euro Delivery in a nutshell.
  8. Ok Ok people, I am NOT taking anything on the plane. Thanks for all the input and pointing me to the TSA prohibited items. Cheers
  9. Well, I think that settles it. No intention here on violating any FAA or TSA regulations Was just curious why the product could not be sent via air. I will look into using other products that have no transport restrictions. So, in my case, would be better to apply some sealant or a coat of wax, or nothing?
  10. I am doing an European Delivery and I was thinking of taking a Quick Sealant kit with me and apply a coat as soon as take delivery of the car, straight up onto the paint. I wanted to provide some temporary protection until I get the car re-delivered to me here in the US. Other than that, can I take a can in a plane in a checked luggage? I was wondering about that since Adams does only ground because FAA regs.... Thanks...
