  1. Alright guys. I just tried everything new. And my windows look invisible, no obvious streaking. Its wonderful, the glass towels work great now that I know how to use them.

I believe my biggest problem was the fact that i was using it like windex. I would spray a full spray on a half size window and i would just push it around with the towel.

So what I did was half a squirt of GC, then wipe away only once. Then go over it with a dry towel. On the windshield I would use a full squirt for the larger surface area.

Thanks. You all are a great help. :2thumbs:

  2. I learned this recently on this forum. I had the exact same problem when polishing and I was told to put the pads in individual ziploc bags with a shot or two of detail spray and leave them in the fridge over night. I only did this one night, but it worked out for me. The pads had a bit of dusting but nothing the conditioning brush couldn't handle.

What I have seen other member do was leave the pad on a box fan over night to help with the drying process. I havnt done this, but I imagine it would speed up the drying process. Wait till another member chimes in on this though.

Somebody else might have better ides.

  3. Just to cross things off the list...

Windshield only? Are you using one direction to wipe the interior and the other for the exterior? Meaning sideways for one and up and down for the other...

To be sure it's not the outside, clay your glass then clean it. Then clean the interior with the other direction method. Also, bring fresh towels.

Do not use alcohol on tint.

I do use different directions for interior and exterior. One up and down, one side to side. My exterior glass is freshly clayed. It is definitely on the inside of the windows. I also use fresh towels every time, Green glass cleaning towels.

  4. So I have some issues with cleaning the interior glass on my car. I use two towels. One to clean, then the other to buff. I only use a squirt of the glass cleaner one a window.

The windows look great out of the sun, but as soon as the sun hits the glass it is very streaky. Ive tried buffing it off the next day, but it doesn't want to budge.

Thanks ahead of time. Ive learned so much from this forum, and adams is the bomb. Cant imagine using any other product now.

  5. I have two grit guards and never let my car get very dirty, wash it about twice a week. I use two different wash mitts(one for the upper, one for lower).

When I finish washing my car, the water in my buckets isn't dirty at all.

Is there something I should do differently? or is it just the fact that my car isn't very dirty when I start to wash it?

    Thanks ahead of time

  6. Im going to be detailing my sisters Jetta tomorrow and friday. I have class in the morning and am going to be starting in the afternoon around 2:00 so i assume i wont be able to finish the full correction process within the time given.

What is the best way to store the pads to be able to use them the next day? If i wash them they wont have a sufficient amount of time to complete dry. Is it okay to just leave them with polish in them over night and pick back up where I left off the day before or should I clean them and allow them to fully dry before starting again?

BTW, i only have one set of pads, more pads are on my next order.

    Thanks C.J.
