  1. Thanks, I followed that this evening. I'm pretty happy with the results. ( a bit dull and overcast this evening for good pics) I spent about 14 hrs total I think. Now what do you do to maintain?
  2. Thanks for all of the input. Machine Super sealant and pads arrived today, was able to apply. Waiting until later today to glaze. Is there much point to applying several coats of Brilliant Glaze before wax?
  3. No, I ordered the machine super sealant / pads and am waiting for that to arrive. So once that is applied, I see I should wait a day for it to cure, then I will glaze and then wax....so I looks like I will need 2 or 3 more days. Additionally, some parts I will be doing by hand.
  4. They did seem to clog....and were very hard to clean. The orange one is sort of orange, and the white one will never be white again...
  5. Thanks for the quick reply. Am I doing damage machine polishing since its a single stage paint??
  6. This is what my white pad looked like after doing the hood of my car. I had already started with the orange pad, and it picked up color too. Am I doing something wrong, or is my clear that thin?
  7. I am getting ready to finally dive into the PC tomorrow, and was wondering if someone could explain what to tape up and how? I understand covering seals, trim, but I'm more curious if for example, if I'm polishing the hood, near where the hood meets the fender, how should that area be taped up? Anyone have any pictures? Is blue painters tape acceptable? Additionally, I bought the PC "Brilliance" PC polish kit, and noticed that it did not have the Machine Super sealant, so I bought that and the appropriate pads yesterday. Good idea? So, the final step is the "Americana" paste wax, and I am assuming that is only applied by hand? Thanks....
  8. Good write up. Why wash again after clay? I am a bit confused on this as some videos say no need to wash again, and other say WASH?!? What is the opinion on this?
  9. Thanks for everyone's suggestions. I ordered the 4"pad kit this morning. They will be useful on my motorcycle too now that I think about it.
  10. I didn't know there were 4" pads! Suppose I should add this to my order?? Adam's FOCUS 4" Polishing Pad Kit
  11. Pretty much the whole car is curved other than the roof panel and front hood...
  12. I just ordered "Adam's Brilliance Porter Cable 7424 XP Polisher Kit" and would like to know how you go about handing curved body panels with a porter cable to get good enough contact and results? I didn't see a video addressing this.
