  1. stupid question - does everyone usually wash their micro towels in the wash with liquid detergent? If they arent too gunked up, do they usually get pretty clean?
  2. good to know, I might just polish/seal it next time. Mine hasnt faded at all either. I also have mine on the side mirrors.
  3. ok so after watching a few videos, I want to clarify... when using the swirl/haze you machine it until it "flashes" then you dont bother wiping it clean..you simply go straight to the polish?
  4. cool. So one usually doesnt bother with any polishing of the film itself right..I wouldnt think so but just curious. btw..congrats based on your sig
  5. I have the 3M clear scotchguard clear bra on my G8. I am wondering what is everyones thought/experience when applying any wax/sealant/etc. to the hood. Do most just tape off along the film and leave it as is? I dont think you can apply wax/polish to the film..am i wrong. I am just wondering because in the event I take the bra off some day the paint doesnt look terribly different.
  6. Curious as to why you have to let the machine sealant sit for a full day after you apply/buff it off? I might go thru withdrawls not driving that long jk. Also, my paint is in pretty good shape as it stands...so would I be doing any damage to the clear coat by using the polish before the sealant? (also assuming I wouldnt have any real need at this point to use the swirl/haze stuff). my plans so far are as follows: 1. wash 2. claybar 3. machine polish 4. machine snt 5.beer 6. glaze 7. americana 8. beer Thanks!
  7. why that would be the same as in yours a G8!
  8. oh good tip on letting the sealant sit for 30 mins...last time i used some of my buddies I just let it sit for a few minutes and then wiped. I will check more of the vids. thanks
  9. Ok so first off, thanks for the advice. I have used the porter cable before and some product but looking to buy my own stuff (borrowed a buddies before). My paint is in good shape to begin with, so I am thinking of just the swirl/haze (not the severe), polish, machine sealant, and glaze. Now never having used the glaze before, if I understand it correctly, I would apply the glaze after I apply the machine sealant? How many of you guys apply the carnuba wax in addition to the machine sealant? Thanks!
  10. Hey guys I look forward to buying some product and learning the tricks that everyone has discovered. I have watched several of junkman videos and Adams video tutorials...but nothing better than tested advice from other members. So thanks in advance for the advice and tips!
