  1. Here is a couple of pics of my 2007 Shelby GT.

These were taken at Shelbyfest in Hermann, Mo, April 26, 2009.

Just added the new wheels the day before the show.

Got lots of compliments on the shine and recommended Adams products to all of them.

  2. I told him to bring his car over to my garage and leave it for the weekend and i would take care of it for him for now on at no charge, i couldnt believe my eyes.

Maybe that was his plan all along ;)

  3. I have Adams fire hose nozzle. Adjusted to a wide spray pattern. (less pressure).

A regular garden hose nozzle will work fine though. That's all I used until recently. Just spray it down as you do when washing the body. Just don't point the spray directly at anything electrical.

If you have any Adams All Purpose Cleaner, it works wonders on a dirty engine compartment. Just spray it on, let it set a few minutes, and rinse it off.

If you have a leaf blower or air hose, use it to dry the engine bay so you won't get any water spots.

One other note. I have always been told that it's not a good idea to spray really cold water on hot metal. I always wash the engine bay when the engine is cold. I start it just before washing.

  4. Well, I don't know what year your Mustang is, but I have an '07. I routinely spray down the entire engine compartment. About every 3rd wash. The electronics on most newer cars arew very well sealed.

I always start the engine before I spray it down, use a light water pressure around any electrical connections. And I try not to spray directly into any obvious electrical components or the cold air intake.

Lastly, follow up with a generous coating of In & Out spray  (if you can find any)

I have never had any problems doing it this way.

  5. Both of my sons are serving in the Navy. The oldest is on the USS Lincoln, out of Everett, Wa. He just returned recently from a 7 month deployment to the Persian Gulf.

The youngest is stationed at the Nuclear School in Charleston, SC. He will be heading to the USS Washington, based in Yokosuka, Japan in July, for 4 years.

  6. Bob, If it's working for you it can't be wrong.

Planning to maintain the shine with BW and use the MSW every 6 months or so.

That's pretty much exactly my plan. The car sits in the garage all winter. I plan to fully detail it every fall before I park it. I keep it covered in the garage, so I just need a light detail and wax in the spring and I'm ready to go. Then I'll maintin throughout the summer with the BW.

  7. After completely detailing my car with the PC and the machine products, I routinely wax it with the buttery wax. I like the shine I get as well as enjoy waxing by hand. After waxing, I apply a coat of BSG.

My question is should the wax be applied before BSG or after? I read on the forum here somewhere that others were using the glaze first, followed by the wax.

I love the results:2thumbs: Just wodering if I'm doing it right
