  1. Thanks for the responses.  I typically wash right away, no matter how small the load is, but figured if I bought more towels I wouldn't need to wash immediately so I wanted to know how most handle that situation.

I always do the extra rinse, but years ago I believe the Junkman was recommending the gentle/delicate cycle.....so that is what I've always done.

  2. I have had a gallon of rinseless wash for awhile, but really haven't used it. I want to start doing rinseless washes. I'm curious what you guys do with your towels after a wash. If you use 6-8 towels for a wash, do you immediately wash them, or wait until you have more for a full wash? If you save them for a later wash, how do you let them dry without getting musty?

  3. Here are some pics of my petcock drain install. Only doing 1 canister for now to verify it works properly, but not sure why it wouldn't. I did order a spare, refurbished canister from CR @$20, which seems like a good price for a slightly scratched/dinged unit.

Basically cut a groove in the ring the washer sits on to allow water to get to the center, and then cut the center post down to allow the valve to be above the surface when in the open position. The metal ring at the top of the canister will keep it centered. There isn't much room for the canister to float on the lower end anyway.

  4. Thanks! I will need to order a canister.

I am in the process of installing a drain petcock on the bottom of the canisters.  I drilled, tapped, and did some grinding on one last night, then sealed in a petcock and let it cure over night.  I don't like the idea of leaving the water in the canisters.  Hopefully it all works as I plan and envision.

  5. Yeah, I just used my 2 bag refill and it comes in a fairly compact box as you say.  But, looking to order a bulk container they sell that isn't bagged, just bulk resin, that will refill the large unit 3 times.  The pic on the website makes the container look quite large, but based on the 1 refill (2 bags) size, it shouldn't be that big.  I was just curious for storage purposes.

  6. No, I never heard back from him.

Have you ordered the bulk container of resin from CR?  I'm curious what the dimensions of the container are, diameter x height.  The picture looks rather large, but 2 packs for (1) refill of the large unit aren't that big, so I I'm wondering how big this container is for (3) refills worth of resin.  I sent an email to CR a couple of days ago, but still no response.  Thanks

  7. Welcome to the forum!

I look forward to seeing your build, and very interested in the resin supplier info.

    Dan,

Looks like this guy joined the forum, posted this 1 post, and hasn't returned since.  Did you happen to message him and find out his source for cheaper resin by chance?

  8. We don't have any planned for Florida at this time but our authorized resellers down there might put on their own events.

Kourtney and Matt will be at the European Experience in Savannah next weekend if you're near there. They might be doing demonstrations but it won't be a full clinic in that sense.

Be sure to check our updated schedule of events here:

Wow....I'm glad I checked this thread.  I will have to check this out!

  9. Haven't seen this asked, but I'm going to experiment with Wolfgang's new Uber Ceramic coating next week either on my Raptor or another vehicle.  I'm curious as to any bonding issues or if I'm wasting my time doing guard and gloss every few washes as a maintenance. Surely will use detail spray, but I think unless a wax or sealant is polymer based, it won't bond to the surface of the coating? My first time using coatings, going to be interesting.

I see you haven't been online for a few months, so hope you get an email notice on this reply, but was curious if you went through with this plan or not?

I recently applied the same Uber coating to my C7, and was thinking of using H20 as well to allow the car to be blown dry with my Master Blaster easier (slicker surface).

Anyway, if you see this, I'd like to hear your thoughts on if it was worth it, or not, or any bad effects from doing it.

    Thanks
