So as the title says, new guy here from South Jersey, making my first real foray into detailing. I had done the wash and wax thing before, using Nu Finish, etc. After years of neglect on my car, I decided to get serious.
First though, I decided to take care of the Wife's car. (Firm believer of happy wife, happy life!) It is new so it isn't a full correction and would give me an introduction to the basic products. I didn't think I would see as much of an improvement as I did, but these were the steps I followed:
Wash
Clay
Quick Seal
Glaze
Americana
Her car is black and the thing absolutely shines! Really amazing. That said, after going over every panel of the car multiple times, I can see the need for polishing next time through, even as a new car.
Up next is my car which will require using a PC and a full correction. Once I get started, I will post up some before and after pics. I can't wait to see the results!
Anyway, glad to be a member of the forum and I look forward to contributing as much as I can. Thanks!
