Yes I've had some fun in the past with previous polish getting cake out of the hard to reach cracks, never had a problem with Adam's though the only thing I get is a little fine dust which I can just blow out with a little air.
I use the same speeds as above, but I was taught by the guys at adams to distribute the compound across the surface at a speed of 3 before turning it up to 5 or 6. Turned out perfect every time.
