  1. So returned this afternoon from another body shop after collecting some more estimates to get my rear fender fixed.   ..... Don't ask, about the falling golf club bag....

So the car is always spotless and shiny and three guys had not seen a 45th Anniversary Camaro up Close.

they check it out, and then..

One asks.  "How do I get this shine to look this good?"

    I replied,  "Adam's Polishes."

The other said. "See!! I told you about this stuff.  It's not just a bunch of crap!"

  2. So since I had been using the Adams products, I had restored my families cars a few friends cars and also did my parents older cars. I had taken one to another friends barbecue a few weeks back. We got to tailing about the detail job on one of them just because of how bad It was.

That conversation led to them asking about detailing a coule of the cars they have.

So.. What would you charge for detailing a custom dodge truck, another car and a 41 Willys hot rod? Non of these cars are in terrible condition. The truck would require the most work just because of the size, and there are a lot of swirls on it from washing it.

Would you charge by the hour or the job?

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

  3. So I had a chance to take my mothers car this weekend and give it a good Paint Correction, using the older three step process with a DA Polisher.

First the car was washed and quickly clayed only the the top surfaces.  The top was very rough and there was a huge amount of debris on the clay.  The paint has seen years of neglect sitting under a sap dripping tree, being run through hundreds of car washes, and years of sitting through the elements.

As you can see in the picts, there are thousands of scratches on the surfaces of this car.  To be honest, i really thought that the hood would have to be repainted because of all the damage.

    Before:
Hood - Notice the hundreds of thousands of scratches in the hood and the extensive damage to the creases in the hood.

Even found a lot of areas with stains in the paint.  Very odd that none of this washed out

Door Handle   -Again, hundreds of scratches all over the car.

Taped up all the trim and off i went on a 4 hours polishing adventure.

    After:

Hood - Could not belive that is could turn out this nice.

    Door Handle  - Almost perfect.

Overall - very very pleased with the results.  To be honest, there are parts that could have used another few passes, but time was short and still had to wax this thing.

Parents very very pleased.  Next time I visit i need to do the engine and interior.  Engine is very dirty, but at least the interior is in really good shape.  Then time to move on to Dad's 2008 Cadillac.

  4. Nice!

I just got my gallon of All Purpose Cleaner in and just ordered a gallon of Detail Spray. I just about have the whole line now. Missing the In and Out spray and Window sealant now.

Love the in out spray. I use it in the engine bay a lot to details stuff up there.

Just visited family in that area this weekend. Had a chance to correct and polish my mothers Grand Prix. Big job it was in terrible shape. Ill post Picts later.

  5. Got my latest order of Products in today. Total Interior Cleaner, Leather and Interior Conditioner, and a Gallon of Detail Spray

Have to say that I am again, blown away by the quality and ease of use of these products.

I had been using some Meguiars products on the interior, but this Leather and Interior Conditioner is great.  It drys to a nice natural shine, and smells great.

Thanks again for making my newer car look like a showroom piece.

  6. So at the school district in which I work, we have an auditorium that has a 25 foot wide drop down rear projection screen. The issue with this screen is that is it made of a translucent rubber material. The humidity and rubber proprtites lead this material to become sticky over time. You can actually press it between the palms of your hands and feel it stick to one of them as you separate them.

After trying evey product that our maintenance department had, and the manufactures advise of using simple green or lrubbing alcohol, nothing seemed to work.

I ran out to the car and grabbed a bottle of APC. Not only did the APC remove the sticky oil mixture, but it visually looked great. Took a couple hours to clean it, but this method will definately prolong the life of this motorized screen.

    Thanks Adams,

  7. " Like the CAMARO in the garage better ha ha"

Thanks. Usually sits in the garage in this weather, but wife needed the truck and right now it is sitting outside in with about 6 inches of snow on it near Naperville for a few days. Just hoping the roads are pretty good tomorrow on my way back. Snow in some areas of Chicago are kind of crappy...

  8. Actually it was an off brand dual action polisher that got some decent reviews. But overall, it was built just like the PC. Did a good job for the price I paid for it.

To see the job it did, here are a couple of before and after photos. Sorry. They are not the best photos, but for an amateur like myself, i was pretty pleased. Did the whole truck in about 3 hours. -minus the roof. I saw a couple placed today that needed a bit more work, but I might need to order the focus pads for these areas.

When my wife saw the truck today when she came home today, the first this she said was, "Oh my god. This looks incredible. I looks like a new truck, or has been repainted." Then asked, "Did you do this, or take it somewhere?"

  9. I have been recently introduced to your products this year after purchasing my new Camaro. I found many references to Adams and that lead me to buying a few of them.

Overall I have been exceptionally pleased. I have used many other store bought brands and Adams Polished have excelled in all areas. I have only used adams on my camaro and this weekend i used your Adam's Three Step Machine Polish Bundle and pads on my wife's badly scratched 2009 Enclave.

WOW. This thing now looks as good as new. I still need to get a stool or ladder to do the top, but I was just amazed as to how easily and effectively the products removed years of scratched paint. My wife uses automatic car washes, and even though I tell her how bad they can be, she does it anyway.

Swirls - Gone. Finish is now very clear and bright. Smooth as glass.

I wish I had taken a few more photos of the before, but let me tell you it was pretty bad.

    Below is the final results.

    Thanks again Adams.
