Jbird I'll try that next time i wash the car and have access to water
-
Interesting read! The pictures you posted matches mine to a tee! i takes forever and tons of product to remove streaks. Guess I'll have to look for a dedicated plastic dresser. Yeah manual is the way to go in Sweden most cars are manual, probably like a 90-10 ratio or something

Thanks! hmm.. so I might have to.. use.. another... brand? Say it aint so!

Did a little spring cleaning today! Turned out quite alright although i cant seem to find the perfect vacum cleaner acessories, never get it 100%. Could only clean carpets with waterless wash since i didn't have any water nearby, how do you guys get the mats black again? Svrt is to slippery, no? I have to say, as satisfied as I'am with all of adams products, the total interior just doesn't work that well for me on the black audi plastic as displayed by a close up underneath, am I doing something wrong? Anyway, here are some pictures, they are quite big so click for full size Here are some wide shoots as well, to bad you can't smell the pictures, Adam's brings the new car smell every time!

Sealant-Glaze-Wax-Glaze? but how i re-apply the wax?
ericR replied to ericR's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
Im getting super excited!! Btw, i have to wash the car at a different place than i will polish at, is it ok to wipe the car down with rinsless wash before starting after the drive over? It does contain a small portion of wax right which is bad i guess in this case? Not sure how to solve that otherwise! -

Sealant-Glaze-Wax-Glaze? but how i re-apply the wax?
ericR replied to ericR's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
Thanks guys! It was the claying/waxing part i was most unsure about, guess once i clay i just have to put down a new layer of sealant! Chris its a metallic black, so i need it to look super wet, because its cool -
Only using power wash bad for the paint?
ericR replied to ericR's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Thanks guys! Yeah i have the car all waxed up but it doesn't seem to help, the power washers are all wide-spray so i should be good then! -
Only using power wash bad for the paint?
ericR posted a question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
hi guys! Here in Sweden all the car washes only have power washes, no regular hose. so is that bad for the paint, or wax? Honestly i don't know how i would get the car clean with the hose Adam uses (no pun intended) in his videos, i usually have to put the nozzle right up to the car to get all the gunk off, Maybe we have more bugs and birds in Sweden -
Sealant-Glaze-Wax-Glaze? but how i re-apply the wax?
ericR posted a question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
hi guys! Haven't tried the glaze yet but after reading on the forum i cant help myself! I actually have two questions though: 1- is the order in the post title correct? could i re-apply Brilliant glaze after ever wash? pleas say yes 2 - quick sealant lasts longer than wax right? but what if the wax needs re-applying after a few months, should i just put more on without claying? Otherwise I just don't get the reason for having quick sealant last that long if the wax is the weak link in the chain if you know what i mean. Can't wait to get my hands on that Glaze, gonna polish my black Audi and drenche it in that stuff -
How many of you use APC/DWC during "normal" wash?
ericR replied to ericR's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
Im leaning towards buying som quick selants for the winter months, as they can get pretty rough here in Sweden! Thanks guys! -

Yeah I've seen all the videos, this particular thing though im not sure they adressed But that's why i love this forum, everybody is so nice and helpful! So how often do you guys (and gals of course) remove your wax/sealant reapply it? -

ericR replied to ericR's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
Good to know! thanks Tim! How does everybody go about removing tougher stains without removing the wax? Bird presents and so on? Do you wash the area with APC and re-wax just that spot? I'm fairly new to all this if you haven't noticed -
I was driving around looking for a good DIY carwash in my city, when i came across this new place, with a sort of a "booth" design, i have never seen this in Sweden before, but essentially you just drive through it, it has no doors on either side. That's all fine and dandy as long as the area around the washing station is clean, but on this day they were loading dirt on to a truck literally ten feet away Needless to say i keept on looking!

ericR posted a question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
So i read in an article that if you dont use some sort of degreaser (not sure that's the right word) before washing your car you will introduce a lot of scratches since the schampo won't be able to remove some of the tougher contaminants. I've seen that some of you use All purpose or deep wheel cleaner mixed with schampo when doing a normal wash. So I was just wondering is that is the way to go? will APC or DWC affect my wax? i dont have the time or the patience to wax every time -
Thanks a lot BRZN Tonight's was just got way more fun!

I clayed and waxed my car around 2 weeks ago, it was my first time but i was quite happy with the results! but now i would like to apply a second layer of wax for protection, is it to late to do that now, do i need to reclay my car and apply two coats without taking out my car in between? I've tried to search the forum but the search function doesnt seem to work 100% Thanks!
