All I can say is I've seen the commercials, but, I can tell you now, give me my Adams micro fiber waffle towels for drying and wiping down a car! Those towels ROCK! It's like walking into a Wal-Mart... You instantly lose 10 IQ points just watching the damn thing! Yeah the closest thing I'll use to it is an Absorber. Used them for years on boats with GREAT success. Neither will touch my paint though. The Absorbers work GREAT for drying the dogs after a wash or a swim.
