Leather color transfer

I realize I just joined the forums, but it was not just to ask the following question...

 

I recently had some leather color transfer off of my steering wheel. I used Adams interior leather cleaner, but had no transfer from any other surface.

What can I do to protect the steering wheel from losing anymore color?

Cleaning with warm water, and a soft microfiber towel should work. Adam's interior cleaner, if I have read correctly is very strong. So, it may be too strong for your wheel, as you have noticed.
