Scratches on pads

There's some small scratches on my white and orange pads I guess from too much force when i used the brush to wipe them down.  Here are the pics.  Are these still good to use or are they going to mess the paint up?  Thanks

I saw those x's on my tire applicator. Interested to find out what the are from. Maybe attaching pad to securing surface

Or from sitting on that grit guard?

Sure, they'll still work, the small cuts don't look too deep.

Never had a problem like this and I use my brush to clean them often.

Oh is it from sitting on the grit guard?   To tell you the truth I just noticed them after letting them dry for 2 days.  Never had this happen to me before.  Actually was my first time using the brush so I assumed it was from too much force?

I dont think the pad conditioning brush would do any damage like this at all

The marks on the white pad look congruent with the design of the grit guard. My pads get marks in them like that sitting in my dish drainer after cleaning them. They should go away after a while.

From what you are saying, I don't think they are scratches but rather impressions.

 

This is my logic:

 

Pads are wet and are drying, thus they are soft. They are soft and lying on grit guard. Plastic of grit guard pushes into pad causing impression. Pad dries with compressed spots.

 

Voila, scratched up looking pads, but actually only impressions.
