Citrus based cleansers?

BoCRon

Question

Still working on the graphics for my car. I received a decal yesterday and the directions suggest using denatured alcohol followed by a citrus cleanser prior to application. Should I run out and grab something or am I wasting my time? My plan is to top with some HG&G when I'm done.

The manufacturer suggestions are made to remove any sealants or waxes prior to application.

If you have Adams APC, it will accomplish the same task. It's also a good idea to clay the area that the decal will be applied to.

The HGG is fine over glossy type decals. Some matte finish one's may get streaks from it. Another wipe or two with a clean plush damp microfiber easily removes streaks in my experience with HGG.

Thanks! I have all-purpose so will go with that.

I did all gloss graphics based on the fact that I hate taping off to detail :D.

Thanks for the tip on the damp microfiber, I'll do that for sure.
