694doorbird
Does anyone know if it's possible and the best way to remove a dealer decal that's been on a chrome bumper since 1987?
0 zxgto06
I would try a little heat from a heat gun to warm it up. If the glue is warm and soft it will make it much easier to peel off.
0 Sanchez03
You can also try a wheel eraser if the above method doesn't work.
0 694doorbird
We'll give it a try when we get around to detailing the El Camino. In your opinion, do you think removing the decal would leave an impression on the chrome? I can't post a picture, as the vehicle is out of state for the next few weeks. 0 blcksilv08
If the chrome has been kept up with and is in good condition I wouldn't be very concerned with it leaving a mark. On the other hand I've seen door trim removed from a 2000 suburban leave marks behind because the paint was not cared for.
