Distilled vs Demineralized

I went to buy some distilled water today and picked up some demineralized water instead thinking it was the same thing, although I later found out they are made with different processes.

 

Is there any reason why using demineralized water for diluting products won't work?

Demineralized water is ok to use. A different process is used to remove the minerals then distilling.
